As of December 2024, we will no longer be selling Nexgard or Heartgard through the clinic. We will be offering new, all-in-one options for your flea, tick, and heartworm prevention as replacement for discontinuing these from our clinic options. We will be continuing the sale of Simparica, Bravecto, Proheart 6 & 12, Nexgard Plus, and Simparica Trio. If you prefer to stay on Nexgard or Heartgard, these can be bought from our online pharmacies (links will be attached below). Year round flea, tick and heartworm prevention is essential to keeping your pets safe and healthy. Madison has been at MRAH for 3 years, and just recently obtained her Certified Veterinary Technician designation. She completed a two year degree and had to pass national and state licensing exams. We are so happy to have her back full time now that she has completed her degree.
MRAH now has two Certified Veterinary Techicians (Karlie and Madison) to better care for our patients. ❤️

Let’s talk about vaccine reactions!

This is Winston the dachshund. The picture on the right is how he looked at his appointment, and the picture on the left is how he looked about an hour later. He developed pronounced facial swelling and his body was covered in hives. This an example of what a vaccine reaction can look like.

Thankfully, sweet Winston is on the mend.

Always, seek veterinary care immediately if you suspect your pet is having a vaccine reaction.

Dr. Jonathan made it up to the clinic this morning and the roads are very slippery. We have made the decision to close for today. We will see everyone tomorrow when we open back up!

Please make sure you call the clinic and confirm we are open tomorrow before heading our way. Once staff is able to get there safely, we will open. In the worst case scenario, we may stay closed all day. Dr. Jonathan has 4 wheel drive and will go up to care for any boarders staying with us. Everyone stay safe and warm! ❄️ 🧊
