Kobe Brideless
Kobe’s Bridleless Video📸⚡️
At the end of Kobe’s training we got some videos of the beginnings of his bridless training. He was definitely meant for this!
Thanks to Cora Redman for taking the videos 🫶🏼
Liberty Course
Tripps liberty course today!
First day with the rubber mat, bridge, and tarp. Went over all first try after learning how to cross the plywood the past couple of days!
He’s going to be my liberty star 🌟 😁
Tripp’s 2nd Liberty Session
This was Tripps 2nd liberty session. We worked lots on getting him to face up and take steps into me - actually leading to be able to move him from the front by asking for hind quarter yields.
We also worked on rubbing down his whole body with 2 sticks while standing at liberty. This was really cool because he has been so reactive with his back feet, and to see him stand calmly while I touch down them was super big!
The last thing we did was working on our neck flex with the sticks. He is getting pretty good at this and hopefully we will have a flex- yield next session!!
Mo figuring out cinch pressure! He has some unexpected moves 🤣 But watch till the end to see what we ended with!
Brushing Down Legs!
Day one of brushing & touching down legs! (4/9)
It’s safe to say this guy loves being brushed. I got all the way down to his hips! Also got his front legs brushed all the way down. I touched down his back legs with a stick, he wasn’t quite sure what to think, but after a few times he didn’t mind!
Day 2 of Leading! (4/8)
Day 2 of leading!
Started out with a little commotion, and ended nice and relaxed (other than him thinking my sneeze was going to eat him). Lots of leading, backing, and putting head down.
You will see me pick up my flag just because he was getting a little pushy and I just wanted to make sure I had something with me incase I needed to move him away from me!
Second Leading Session
2nd session of leading! (4/6)
Another smooth shorter session! You will see him starting to lead with my back to him, learning to back up, and learning to put his head down.
Just like last video, his halter is low so it doesn’t hit the sores on his face. And I am facing him at points to watch his reaction and for my safety!
Leading Day 1
First Day Leading😆(May 6)
This went pretty smooth! Tripp had a minimal reaction and caught on well. You’ll see me using pressure and release to teach him to lead towards the rope. By the end he is walking with me, and even starting on backing up!
2 things you might see: His halter is low on his face because he has some nasty scratches right where the knots would normally hit. Also, I am facing him to see how he is reacting to help him learn, and for my safety!
Halter Day #2
Tripps second day getting the feel for the halter!
He was quite grumpy today, but we did make progress in getting the halter on his nose and behind his ears. I’m trying to keep the videos short so this is part 1 of this session! We worked more after the video cut and didn’t leave off on a bad note!
Day 7!
Update on this sweet guy! We really made some progress in this video. I tried to edit it down so it wouldn’t be such a long watch, but the end has some really cool moments!
Day 3!
Day 3- He’s getting pretty comfortable, he lets me touch more of his face further into this video!
