Kobe’s Bridleless Video📸⚡️

At the end of Kobe’s training we got some videos of the beginnings of his bridless training. He was definitely meant for this!

KOBE 🫶🏼🖤

This fall I got the opportunity to work with this super handsome, talented, and sweet Nokota mustang. I have never meet a more attentive and conversational horse. He uniquely spent his first 7 years in the wild as a stud.

Kobe and I connected right away, I enjoyed every day of working with him. His talent and personality taught me so much. By the end of his training we were riding bridless, videos to come! He is now at his forever home with Vickie Corbin and will be getting many visits from me, and hopefully show this summer at some Mustang shows!

Tripps liberty course today!

First day with the rubber mat, bridge, and tarp. Went over all first try after learning how to cross the plywood the past couple of days!

He’s going to be my liberty star 🌟 😁

This was Tripps 2nd liberty session. We worked lots on getting him to face up and take steps into me - actually leading to be able to move him from the front by asking for hind quarter yields.

We also worked on rubbing down his whole body with 2 sticks while standing at liberty. This was really cool because he has been so reactive with his back feet, and to see him stand calmly while I touch down them was super big!

The last thing we did was working on our neck flex with the sticks. He is getting pretty good at this and hopefully we will have a flex- yield next session!!

Life lately with the Stangs🌻🌵🌾

Tripp has been turned out with the other horses for a while now, and they are getting along great! He also got his teeth floated by the dentist- with some help of sedation. We can now pick up both front feet, prepping hard for farrier next week! He can also walk in and back out of the trailer!

Mick and Mo are getting worked as much as I can! They are progressing daily, and mick has been doing some pretty cool community things lately that I will post about!

Trying to get all time I can in with my crew before I leave for Montana!

I got the opportunity to meet Jake from Year of the Mustang a few weeks ago when he went through Augusta, WV on his trip across country traveling on his mustangs!

He had ridden from Utah to WV and is on his way to New Jersey then turning back around to go home to Utah!

Day one of brushing & touching down legs! (4/9)

It’s safe to say this guy loves being brushed. I got all the way down to his hips! Also got his front legs brushed all the way down. I touched down his back legs with a stick, he wasn’t quite sure what to think, but after a few times he didn’t mind!

Day 2 of leading!

Started out with a little commotion, and ended nice and relaxed (other than him thinking my sneeze was going to eat him). Lots of leading, backing, and putting head down.

You will see me pick up my flag just because he was getting a little pushy and I just wanted to make sure I had something with me incase I needed to move him away from me!
