These two sweet mini piglets were supposed to leave for their new home this past weekend, however their new owners decided that it was not the right time for them to take on any new pets. So, if you were interested in either of these two adorable babies, they are now available & looking for their forever homes. There is one girl chipmunk & one black boy. Both of them have 1 blue eye and some white markings โค๐ท๐ทโค I will copy & paste their litter details below!
*PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD BELOW- It is super long, but there is a lot of important info to consider before making the decision to add a piggy to your family & most of your questions will be answered*
These piglets will be ready to leave August 26th! They are from our homebred girl, Panda, & our blue eyed boar that we had shipped here from Texas a while ago now! All piglets will get an iron injection, vaccinated, dewormed with 2 different classes of dewormers, started on coccidia prevention, started on litter box training & are handled daily. We also send home their first dewormer that they will need after leaving us, a harness/leash & food for transitioning.
Piglets are three hundred each (I require a non-refundable deposit to reserve your piglet. I do NOT hold without a deposit for ANY amount of time- NO EXCEPTIONS).
Mini Pigs make absolutely fabulous pets, but they are definitely not for everyone, so please do your research & take the time to consider the following before deciding to add a piggy to your family:
1) Check your housing/city/town zoning to make sure pigs are allowed
2) These are Mini Pigs- there is no such thing as a teacup, nano, micro, etc. pig. If you are worried about having a pig that fits the "teacup myth" then a pig is definitely not for you. A healthy, well fed mini pig is the goal- not a pig who has been half starved to achieve the "myth." Those terms are incredibly misleading & should not be used by any ethical, responsible breeder. A mini pig is a mini compared to a full sized farm pig (Under 300 lbs). As you can imagine, this makes mini pig sizes vary. The parent pigs are the best way to get a general idea of how big your piglet will be at maturity. My pigs in particular mature to roughly the size of a medium dog (i.e. basset hound, English bulldog). Dad for this litter is 14" tall & mom is 14.5" tall.
3) Make sure that you have a Veterinarian that sees pigs- not all large animal/farm vets see pigs!
4) If you have someone you need to check with to make sure it is ok to add a piggy to your home (I.e.- spouse, significant other, room mate, landlord, relative, etc.) Please do so BEFORE contacting the farm
5) Pigs take a lot of training & patience. Making a commitment to a pig is a lot like committing to a lifelong toddler
6) Research, research & research some more! An educated owner is key to a successful, forever home.
