Vickie Dingess dropped off 10 chairs today to use for our 2nd annual WV spring turkey hunt(and future hunts)! There sure is a lot of enthusiasm over shed hunting. I wish all those shed hunters would start trapping. If ya don’t want to learn, just using simple dog proof traps would help nest raiders. Boy we would really be able to increase our fawn and turkey numbers with more trappers. I shed what I shed. 🤷‍♂️

Sneak peek of the giant BB was able to assist in recovering last night. The steep shot had clipped lower edge of lung with no exit wound. Recovered 289 yards from impact. The hunter did the right thing and followed our advice to back off blood trail and give it 12 hours on his buck of a lifetime!! 💪♥️

Toby Lane out getting it done with Piper!!!

Congratulations to Tucker Walker on a fine buck! This young man is going to be a very accomplished hunter! He did everything right yesterday evening when he felt that he had hit his buck a little too far back. Unfortunately we had very heavy rains most of the night and into the morning. Piper was on it for maybe 100 yards bit the rain had really washed away a lot of the scent. Finally we started walking roads hoping to locate as we knew this would be a dead deer. Eventually she caught a whiff and went straight to the buck that was still alive…after 17 hours. Tucker was able to put the finishing shot on his trophy!

8 year old Jace first deer with a compound bow!!! These guys did everything right…they backed out!!! We got in there about 6:30 this morning and had it found and drug out by 7:00. Jace was still on time for school!! BB doing work!!!
