I never know who I’m going to find where when I go put eyes on everyone each morning. Smokey the mini horse enjoys the alpaca area and Ike the alpaca thinks he’s a goat. Whatever y’all….just get along with everyone. 🥰

We are still in need of volunteers for April 19th. Food will be provided ☺️

🚨VOLUNTEERS NEEDED🚨
We are having shearing day for our fiber animals in April. We are needing some help on 👉🏼April 19th👈🏽 to move some things around and reorganize some things. We realize this is a big ask since that’s Easter weekend.

What is needed: MUSCLE 💪
We will be loading up the current hay and straw bales from the barn and placing onto a trailer and cover with tarps. Then reorganizing the items in the barn to shelves or the garage to make room for temporary stalls which will need put up

All the fiber animals must stay clean and dry or they will have a much harder time shearing. We will have to have room for 5 alpaca and 4-5 sheep plus room to shear.

Please if you are available to help that day let us know and mark APRIL 19th on your calendars. We will start early probably around 9am. Thank you all so much!

On Good Friday, April 18th from 4-6pm we are going to have a special area set up and decorated for Easter photos here at PonyLane Ranch & Rescue. We will have all the animals available for photos. Llamas, pygmy goats, Nigerian dwarf goats, minature ponies, chicks, puppies, alpacas, minature calves, horses and of course RABBITS!
Dress your kiddos up and bring them out for some animal interactions and a photo shoot.
There will be no cost but we will have a free will donation jar. Any and all donations are appreciated as it goes to cover the animals expenses.
We will also have a special vendor, Bee Wings & Fuzzy Things from Randolph Co will have some soaps and merchandise available for purchase.

✏️ DONATIONS UPDATE📌

As of right now we have been using donations FROM YOU to replenish some immediate needs here after the fire. Some of those items include:

🛞Heavy duty wagon: we lost our dolly that we used to move bales of hay and straw to the different animal areas but since we now are transporting feed and bales from further away, we decided to replace with a wagon that has better wheels to get through all the mud. (As pictured In the photo with curious pacas)

🌽Feed for current animals.

💧Water hoses.

⛓️Fence panels for temporary fencing.

💉Medications that were lost for the aniamls such as CDT and wormer

Upcoming items we will be purchasing in a few weeks:
🐣 Chicken coop: we had our coop inside the barn so we have ordered one that will be delivered in a few weeks.

🐑Another sheep barn: we ended up using the baby pig’s new barn to house sheep but only about 3 can fit in there. We built one made from pallets but that doesn’t keep the rain out so we ordered one more to help keep them dry.

Slowly gathering items to build a new music wall we lost in the fire for preschool. I will be visiting thrift stores but wanted to see if anyone had anything laying around they are getting rid of:

Meet Oreo! He is a young rabbit (under 1 year) looking for a new home due to current owner has discovered she is allergic. Oreo free roams the house most of the day and has a cage when he isn’t.
