Some recent pictures. And I’m a few days late to this, but it’s officially been two years since I finished up farrier school. (October 7th, 2022)

I’ve learned a lot in 2 years. Not just about horses and shoeing, but about myself, life and other people and their natures. I can’t say where I would be in life if I hadn’t made the decision to go to farrier school, but I’m so thankful every day that I did make that decision. It’s not always fun or easy, sometimes I absolutely hate the job but the highs are so worth enduring the lows. I’ve met some of the best people I’ve ever known and gotten to work on some amazing horses. I’ve quite literally put my blood, sweat, and tears into this profession, and it’s paid me back in ways I never would have imagined. I’m so grateful and thankful for my clients, mentors, and friends that have helped me chase this dream. I wouldn’t be here without your support.

⚠️prices/policy changes⚠️

-Starting June 1st 2024 my shoeing prices will increase. Front sets $100, Full sets $150.
- If your horse has a shoe size 3 or larger I will charge a draft fee of $10 extra for shoes and trims.
-If your horse does not stand for shoes/trims I will charge more. Starting at $10 extra and will increase depending on the severity. Discipline/train them, sedate them, or pay the extra fee.
-If you do not keep your animals on a consistent schedule, I will not work for you. 1 or 2 trims a year is not a consistent schedule.

Afa certification update: passed the written exam and shoe modification board. Just need to pass shoeing the horse. I’ve been a few points short of passing each time. Hopefully I’ll get it next time.

This certification means a lot to me so I just wanted to say thank you. For letting me work on your horses and moving appointments so I can go to the certification tests.

Went to a forging clinic with Gavine Cooper CJF at Forging M Farm this past Friday. I was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I learned a lot about making handmade shoes. I’ll keep practicing what I learned and who knows, I might start nailing on some handmades soon

Just a reminder that I am still taking on new clients within an hour of Ridgeway, VA. That Includes North Carolina too. I have availability for the Ferrum, Va area on an 8 week schedule!
Prefer to keep shoes on a 6 week schedule and trims on 6/8 week schedule.

Put some shoes on my new horse. He had a few problems that needed to be corrected to keep his hooves healthy. I decided to put him in a wedged frog pad with vet tech packing. This will help him grow some heel and get his palmar angles where they need to be
