A year ago, my dog Blaze was really sick and we suspected that it was an allergy to something in his food. While trying to eliminate things from his diet, I found that there was nothing on the market for treats that worked for us, especially for treats I could keep in my pocket. Blaze was eventually diagnosed with an allergy to chicken and the pancreatitis he was suffering due to the allergy clear

ed up, but I continued to make treats for him and his little brother, DJ. All varieties are low fat, with the carrot and sweet potato treats at 10% total fat calories and all other flavors at 11%. There are only three ingredients used: the fruit/vegetable listed, oats, and brown rice.

For the last several mornings I’ve chased the chill out of the air by baking dog treats.

Don’t worry, the batches were all Supervisor-approved.
