HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY to Maggie and Remi's "Cars" puppies! It was fun to get recent pictures from all of the families and see/hear how well they are all doing! The 8 puppies are in 6 states across the nation, and all their families love them so much. Happy Birthday!!!

🐾 UPDATE - ZOE is with her new family in our community.

The lady who had Zoe the past week her foot and it will be a long recovery. She can't take care of her. We have Zoe again... Let us know!!

My in-laws' 3 puppies all have homes!! Thank you so much to everyone who reached out and shared!!! It warms our hearts! Zoe will be living on Signal Mtn, and the other two will be just outside of Chattanooga. 💕

Sometimes life happens... And these 3 cute dogs are needing a home. My in-laws' health has declined, and they will be moving into an assisted living home in the next few weeks. They have made the difficult decision to find homes for their dear dogs, and we told them we would help. Their King Charles Cavalier, Zoe, is about 5 years' old and pure bred, but there are no papers. (She is Piper's half sister.) She is under 20 lbs (my scale is packed, so I can't weigh her). She would do better in a one-dog home, and is really good with learning and obeying.

The other 2 girls are Cavamalts (1/2 King Charles Cavalier and 1/2 Maltese). They are maybe 12-15 lbs, 20 months' old, a very loyal lap/velcro dog, and so loving. All 3 girls do well sleeping in a crate at our home and like to go in there to just chill, but slept in the family room and their bed at my in-laws.

A big thank you to all who donated!! Last week, our friends donated $850 to Don and I to go get food, diapers, formula, wipes, water, dog food, deodorant, first aid supplies and more. It was taken daily to several different areas affected in East TN and NC.
We were told that 300,000 lbs of items were donated from the community we were working with!!

The wife of the couple who organized all of this is a school teacher. Next week is Fall Break, and she wants to help more- with Phase 2. It is going to start getting cold in the Appalachian Mountains.

She is going to be at the Collegedale Commons Sunday through Saturday next week 8 am to 6 pm. This is what they are asking for.

**Again, for those who don't live close, we are more than willing to go shopping on your behalf. If anyone would like to mail us items, PM for our address, and I'll give it to you

1. New or VERY GENTLY USED cold weather clothing including jackets, sweaters, blue jeans, gloves.

2. Cleaning supplies, including garden hoses, and electrical drop cords.

3. Blankets, sleeping bags…..

4. Small (camping type) propane cylinders with small propane heaters and lights.

5. Canned soups, chowders, stews.

Yesterday, Don and I witnessed so many cool things! Almost $600 was donated from our friends across the nation (including our Daisy's Doodle Den Family!!) for our brothers and sisters in TN and NC who have been affected by the hurricane. We were blessed to find good deals to stretch the money. Our car was filled. Our hearts were full, with tears in our eyes! When we got to the church to donate, since we were full, they asked if we would just go to main site to drop off. I found out that all day today, a personal airplane is flying to outside of Asheville, dropping a 500-lb pallet, then coming back for another one. There were already 15 pallets wrapped and ready to go, and they had 10 being filled with cars lines up to donate still. In Asheville , there are like 10-12 "bubble helicopters" waiting to be loaded and will distribute the items. They will do that all day. The fuel is being donated, too. Our faith in humanity was restored. God's children helping each other in times of need. This is what we bought yesterday thanks to the donations that came in:

*UPDATE: THANK YOU for the donations so far!! Wow!! Even $5 helps (which can buy 6 cans of spaghetti O's thanks to Publix!!). We will go shopping this afternoon, and the items will be delivered tomorrow! We can take donations up until 6 pm EST. 🩷🩷🩷

Along with all of you, we have been saddened by the effects of Hurricane Helene. One of Molly's boys, Silas, (was Dancer from the Reindeer litter) lives in Asheville, NC. I finally heard from his Mom, and they are ok. No power or water and limited cell service, but they are OK. Our church has access to some very generous people who are donating their aircraft and time to fly supplies to small airports outside of Asheville from Collegedale, TN tomorrow.

We are collecting supplies TODAY! Don and I will be going to the store this afternoon. If any of you would like to donate $ for us to pick some things up, let us know! If you live in the Ringgold, Chattanooga or Cleveland area, you can drop off donations to our church building from 3-7 pm, or I may be able to swing by and pick them up to take.

Personal hygiene supplies (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, hand sanitizer, etc.

baby formula, diapers, wipes, etc.

gloves (work and rubber), dust masks
