Our Story
Bill Riddle has been a professional cutting horse trainer for 30 years. In that time horses he’s trained and shown have won in excess of $4.5 million plus in the cutting show arena. His customer’s have won an additional $3.9 million plus. Bill was a history teacher for 10 years prior to becoming a cutting horse trainer. That teaching experience, has allowed him to be one of the industry’s premier instructors. His clinics have been well attended since the first one in 1984. He has conducted clinics in Texas, New Mexico (TRUE GRIT), California, Idaho, Ohio, Oregon, Oklahoma (Private Clinics Ranch), Canada, France, Brazil and Australia. Highly respected by his peers, Bill has served the National Cutting Horse Association at every level. He has been an area director, and chaired both the Limited Age Committee and the Sales Committee. He has served as Vice President of the NCHA two times and as President for the 2007 term. Bill wrote the original Casebook used by the NCHA Judges Department to train judges.
--->Customized Cutting Horse Training: 1.)We prefer breaking and starting your 2 year old on cattle. Our program emphasizes quiet, well broke horses that understand how to relate to the movement of a cow. We do, however, train a number of horses each year that we do not break. We give these horses time to adapt to our program before proceeding with their training. 2.) Two year olds broken and started on cattle. Honest evaluation of each horse. Three, four, five, and six year old horses trained and conditioned for limited aged events year around. We provide a full staff at the cutting events so that your experience can be an enjoyable one. 3.)We will take you and your horse to weekend cuttings. Weekend cutting is the best way to learn to show a cutting horse. --->Private Cutting Clinics: Clinics are designed for 3 or 4 people. Get individual help with your showmanship skills. Fix your problem horse. Learn to tune your horse for the show.
