Murphy got to go for a walk in a local park in the Los Angeles area today. Murphy is a young guy who is looking for his home. At the moment, he is the only dog we have available in California. Murphy is extremely friendly and likes all people.

Kensang has become a lovebug! His true personality was waiting to emerge. Like the other Illinois dogs, he arrived very scared and thin. He has truly blossomed and now gives kisses to my hands! He eagerly comes up to be petted and rubbed. He is really a sweetheart! He loved the recent snow and spent hours playing with the other rescue TMS. Kensang gets along with males and females.

Sybil is probably around 2. She is also one of the 1st out of Illinois. Sybil has really came a long way! She arrived starved and distrustful of everyone. She then preferred only women, but is now warming up to men too! Sybil is incredibly smart! She learns easily and "speaks" on command...for a cookie, of course! Once she knows you, she is affectionate and loving. Leash walking is not her favorite activity, (yet!), but she is making progress. She gets along with both males and females.

Taylor was among the 1st to get out of Illinois and has been here with Sybil and Bob the longest. Taylor has taken longer to become trustful, as he was among the most damaged psychologically. His actions were of a dog beaten, battered and most definitely starved. He was scared and leery of anything in your hand. He was never aggressive about it, but terrified! He is a calm boy, who accepts petting, but is still aloof. Taylor gets along fine with males and females. He enjoys hanging out with people, but is not snuggly...yet. 🙂He's probably 2-3. Taylor really needs a foster home, who can further his progress.

Norbu was one of the last to arrive with Samson and Aggie. He's probably still under a year. While he was skittish in the beginning, he has really came out of his shell and became more trusting. He's very food motivated and responds well when food is involved. He has a great temperament, but needs an understanding home who will be patient with him, as he's still learning people can be nice, not hurtful. He gets along great with both males and females!

Yeshe is silly and playful! He and his brothers play non-stop! He is very affectionate and loves to be petted and praised. Yeshe will really blossom in a home with more individual attention. He loves to play ball, play with toys and with both males and females!

Jampa is probably the sweetest of the brothers! He is still confused how to take a treat, so gently engulfs your hand and slides it out. 😃 He loves to chase a ball too. Any toy is his favorite! Jampa is really a sweetheart and would thrive with other dogs, or as an only dog.

Senge, Jampa and Yeshe are most likely littermates. They are over a year old. All are tall and will be large adults. All have wonderful, affectionate temperaments.
Senge- Senge is energetic, sweet and playful! He loves toys and to chase a ball! He's beginning to walk on a leash and comes really fast when you call him. Senge has learned to count! He wants 3 treats thrown into his run when he's being put up. He won't go in for 1 or 2, but runs in after 3 😁 ! He gets along with males and females.

Liz is one of the 1st we received in GA. She was horribly emaciated and weighed under 40 lbs. She has gotten to a normal weight, in fact, a little chubby 😀. Liz loves attention, being petted and walks on a leash! She gets along with males and females. She used to be a bit food aggressive, (I'm sure due to being starved before), but now, due to regular meals, is not food aggressive. Liz is very affectionate, likes men, women and kids.

Bob is 2-3 years old and a sweetheart who has really blossomed! He is very chilled and laid back. He is sweet, playful and gets along with both males and females. He is not crazy about leash walking, but can be coaxed along with treats. He loves a good raw bone and any kind of treat.

The 9 TM Rescues in GA had a few wonderful days with snow recently! There are 2 females- Liz and Sybil and 7 males- Bob, Taylor, Senge, Jampa, Yeshe Kensang and Norbu.
4 of them are some of the 1st out of Illinois, Bob, Taylor, Liz and Sybil.
It has been amazing seeing these TMS go from not only the horrible physical condition they were in, to good weights and healthy coats, but more importantly, their psychological conditions have improved immensely!
Before, they ate so quickly, some without even chewing! They just took huge mouthfuls and swallowed. They were so desperate to get food it was heart wrenching.
Their state of mind was scared, lost, and suspect of all people. They watched everything in your hands, afraid of being hit. Any quick movements would make them cower and scatter.
Nowadays, they are much happier dogs, who have made tremendous strides, thanks to generous donors. In addition, thanks to the many people it takes to undertake this huge rescue effort.
Although they are being taken excellent care of, and have came a long way, they would thrive even more in a home setting.

Murphy (fka Kodiak) went to the vet and the groomer and was absolutely perfect! Murphy is a young guy in the Los Angeles area. We don’t yet know how he is with dogs and cats, but he is so far only shown extreme friendliness to everything - even ties!
