Tonight's update.
4500 acres, 20% contained.
(3500 on nj side/ 1000+ on my side)
It's now spread over to the entire other side of the mountain to longpond/Tranquility Ridge on the Ringwood border.

We are still safe here and sheltered in place. Hopefully containment progress will continue! The air quality today is notably improved and most of our animals have been moved back outside.

Our hearts are broken for all the wild animals who, until now, called this mountain home. Some for generations.
They've spent the entire summer building their nests, securing dens, raising their babies, storing food for upcoming winter. Many unfortunately will not survive the winter now with no shelter or food. The surrounding territories are already occupied and won't be welcoming.

They are fleeing, theyre scared, confused, injured, thirsty and hungry.
They don't know where to go.
If the seek refuge in neighborhoods, yards eyc.... let them rest, give them water, keep pets and kids indoors. Give them some space.

Pray for our local wildlife tonight. 🙏😪🐾🦝🦊🐺🦌🦫🦨

This week, November 3-9, is National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week.

It's meant to raise awareness for the hard work that animal shelters across the United States do for homeless animals on a daily basis.

We'd like to thank all of our volunteers. Without them, we couldn't function.

Thank you, also, to the members of our community, far and wide, who support us as we find loving homes for the animals in our care!
