In February we helped to identify a new Hybrid Hummingbird in Tucson, Arizona: Costa x Broadbill. This is the first documented case of such a Hybrid. The bird is a little female in a private yard with an orange-colored beak, eye stripe of a Broadbill Female and coloring, size and body shape of a Costa Female. Privacy policies prevent us from posting a photo but a soon as the photo becomes public, we'll post the photo. In the meantime, here is a nice article about Hybrid Hummingbirds.
