🌟Introducing our VIP (Very Important Pup) boarding guest of the month!🌟 Everyone meet Kent, he is a 7 year old Weimeraner and has been coming to Pet Paradise with his sister Penelope, also a Weimeraner since 2019. They are both super happy when they come to stay with us and they brighten our day when we see them. Kent’s favorite things are going to camp and getting spoiled with lots of attention.

Bark-tastic news: Henry is our Dog Day Camper of the Month! This seven year old Golden Retriever has been visiting us for a little over a year. He loves getting to come for day camp and see his friends! His favorite activity is going swimming in the pool and loves getting spoiled with lots of attention from his chaperones.

There’s no better place to weather a storm than in Paradise! ☔️🐾
While Hurricane Debby was making her way through Florida’s northern region, the team at Pet Paradise Jacksonville Airport & Dr. Connolly from NewDay Veterinary Care University teamed up with Florida Urgent Rescue, Inc. - FUR to provide accommodations for 12 shelter pups in Union County to stay until the weather was safe to return. All of these four-legged friends are looking for their fur-ever homes, so check out Florida Urgent Rescue’s page for more information on adoption!

🌟🧑‍⚕️ VETERINARIAN HIGHLIGHT — Dr. Carino from NewDay Veterinary Care Winter Garden brought her passion for pet healthcare worldwide as she embarked on a mission trip to the Philippines last month. Alongside other veterinarians from across the Philippines, Dr. Carino spayed/neutered over 200 local pets, performed two cystotomies, and administered more than 100 rabies vaccinations across several provinces in the Philippines. Not only do these team members send out our Furever Connected reports (the cute daily photos of your pet you can add onto any reservation), they also run the social media pages for each of our locations. Thank you for photographing all the best moments in Paradise, so we can see the adventures on-the-go! 🫶

Giving our guests the support they need to find their pack is what the play yard is for! To help our guests who are new to groups or are a little anxious, our playtimers make sure to monitor their behaviors and actions. We start them on leash before letting them play freely, move them to a different group that best matches their size and temperament, or recommend one-on-one play if they prefer their own time in the yard!

🌟 CLINIC HIGHLIGHT — Our clinic team in Apollo Beach is doing meow-nificent work in their local community by partnering with Kittie Corral Rescue, a local nonprofit that helps critically ill and abandoned cats. To aid in their mission of rehabbing and rehoming these feline friends, NewDay Vet Care Apollo Beach provides much-deserved medical care to get these cats back to their purring selves. 😻

✨Board and Train Update from our trainer✨

Fletcher is now through his first week. He has improved tremendously since he was dropped off on his first day. He is enjoying getting to learn and work on his obedience skills and enjoys a good playtime session afterwards.

Charlie just started his 21 day board and train adventure. He will be working on the same obedience skills as Fletcher. He is a little bit nervous, but we believe he will do great and we will all be there to help him out.

We cannot wait to see how these two wonderful pups progress on their way to becoming better companions for their owners.

Brody is our Day Camper of the Month! 🐾 This sweet, loving Airedale Terrier always enjoys spending the day in Paradise. His favorite activities include fetch, tug-o-war, and even playing hide and seek. Most of all Brody enjoys getting spoiled with tons of extra attention. We absolutely enjoy when Brody comes to play!

With the rise in temperatures, it’s important to keep your four-legged friend hydrated - especially during their outdoor adventures! In honor of National Pet Hydratiom Awareness month, we’re sharing our top tips on how we keep our guests cool during their fun in the sun:

💦provide multiple water activities such as splash pad, wading pools, and misting stations.
🫧keep several bowls of fresh water on the turf for drinking.
💦spray the turf throughout the day to keep it cool for all the paws.
🫧monitor our guests and ensure no one is displaying signs of overheating.

Everybody say hello to our newest guest in Paradise. Elliot came to visit for his One Free Day. This sweet boy was a little shy at first, but after settling in he was running around and made lots of new friends including his new friend Jack. Welcome to Paradise Elliot!
