What a great day at Uptown Catz! Cline was adopted and he loved his new mom 🐈‍⬛ We had transport to Nashville today as well, hopefully these kitties will be choosing new pawrents very soon 🐾
Several of our volunteers banded together to get an emergency supply of Puppy Chow delivered to Lauderdale County Animal Control for some pups they've taken in. Keep the lack of funding for our animal control and for our kitties in mind during the next election! Because we are all drowning in cats, dogs, lack of support and little to no funding 😿😭😤

While everyone else was buying bread & milk for storm prep, we were responding to emergency intake requests to get cats 🐈 safe from the incoming snow ❄️ We took in 3 from Halls & 6 from Ripley with the possibility of receiving 3 more soon. Could we afford them? No. Could we turn them away? No. Do we need your support? Yes please. RIP Boss❤️❤️. We had to make the very difficult decision to let our sweet Boss go today. Everyone that came to Uptown knew Boss. He greeted everyone and made sure he got your attention. Boss came to us when his owner passed away a couple of years ago. He was adopted once but the people that adopted him said they could tell he was so sad being away from Uptown that they contacted us and brought him back. We made the decision that we would never adopt him out. His best friend was our blind kitty Louie. They spent numerous hours together. We will miss him terribly and will never forget him. Fly high sweet boy❤️❤️❤️

Trouble came into Uptown Catz after hanging out at one of our volunteer’s house for a while. He’s the sweetest kitty in the world, which makes us think he might belong to someone. He’s going to get fixed on Weds. If he’s your kitty, please contact us about reclaiming him.

Some more of our "working" cats🐈‍⬛🐈. These are the dishwashing cats, they hang around the sink where we wash dishes & help clean off the leftover food on the plates. We desperately need someone to help out a few days a week, washing dishes, swapping laundry, and helping out however else you can. You will be paid well in kitty kisses & head butts 🐱 If you're able to assist us, shoot us a message! Our sweet Ms. Kathy that does this most days, needs a day or 2 off every week! 🐾🙏

Another busy day at Uptown, where some of the cats pitch in and help - secretarial duties are their favorite - but most of them just sit around looking cute. If you’d like to volunteer with us, and can do something more meaningful than look cute, we’re on the job every morning from 800 a.m. until Noon, 365 days a year. We’d love to have the help!!
