Congratulations to Tootsie - now Lucy Tootsie - on her adoption yesterday! She is so lucky to have such a wonderful family. Looks like she will have many kids to keep her busy and entertained.

It's official! Beau has a human to call his own. Sometimes you pick your dog, sometimes the dog picks you. In this case, it was a perfect match and mutual. Beau wandered the backroads of Jackson County several months ago. He was lighting up Facebook with comments and concerns about his well-being. He finally picked a house to stop at. Beau somehow managed to get inside a locked and secured porch to take a much-needed nap. Of all the houses he could have chosen, he picked a winner for sure! After many months of being an ARF foster dog at this home, it is now officially his home. Congratulations Beau and Patty McCutcheon!

Drawing for the ARF Mother's Day baskets will be at 3 PM, May 10, at Vail Furniture. (Hurry and get tickets if you haven't!) ARF tries very hard to help the pups in our care, like Quincy, seen here on his way to MedVet for his Thursday exam. He will be available for adoption once we get him healthy and ready. He was such a good boy at his visit today that everyone was wanting him! Your support for ARF goes directly to those pets in our care with all of the members being volunteers. ADOPTABLE TOOTSIE🐾‼❤

This sweet 5 month old, lab/australian cattle dog mix is looking for a place to call home. Tootsie has been in foster care with ARF for several months and is ready to have her own family. ARF has put a lot of love, care and heart into this sweetheart and she has a lot to offer. In return, we are looking for someone that will make a promise to care and love her for the rest of her life. Must be willing to continue to provide her with regular vet visits, including monthly preventative meds to keep her in good health. Also, because she has a strong prey drive and will chase critters, we are requiring potentail adopter to have an above ground fence. It took a while to find just the right place for Dante, but he is finally home! Today, October 25, 2023, is his ADOPTION DAY! He is very happy with his new doggie playmate, and he loves, loves, loves his humans! Thank you to all who spent time with Dante, walked him, ran with him, and helped him while he was waiting for his family to find him. We love happy endings!

It didn't take ARF's trainer, Jenny, long to see Billy as a sweet and very smart dog! He loved to learn and trained quickly. He was fun, too, and would catch a frisbee or a ball and bring it back every time! Jenny taught him "leave it" when he started catching butterflies in the yard! By the time his vet visits were completed, Billy had mastered basic commands and learned to heel. His most recent foster mom took him to visit at a nursing facility where he greeted every resident with a hand shake and a waggy tail. Billy has now found his wonderful forever home where he will get lots of love and attention and have two fur-siblings with whom to romp and play! Congratulations, Billy! Have a wonderful life and don't forget to write!
