Happy new year! We did fireworks tonight. The only one who barked was the puppy Luna and she quit after the probably the second one. Great exposure for the dogs.

Out playing today. Moxie always gets the zoomies. Phay is for sure pregnant. Everyone was up her butt like girl you smell weird! And she was not trying to race or play. Luna the black puppy still doing great with everyone and still homeless.

Puppies first venture through the house. They did really well! They weren’t as scared as I thought they would be on the slick floor. Look at all their happy tails!
Char first time being left outside with puppies. She is such a good mom. She’s protective of them. She is a mom with common sense. I hardly had to move her off of her puppies when they were new babies, she would lay there and be so cautious of them. Before she would jump in the box, she would look and see where they are at. This pen she could easily jump over but, she chooses not to respect the boundary. She stays in a bedroom with them at night and checks on them periodically. If she has to potty she tells me. These puppies are so quiet and well-behaved. It’s very interesting to see the difference from each mom‘s litter with the same dad. Shes an amazing house dog too. She will get into the garbage sometimes but most of the time she just follows me around, respects the furniture and doesn’t get on it.
She is sneaky tho and will try and get cat or puppy food any time she can which is what we found out was making her so sick to the point of going septic. So she has to be supervised when in the puppies pen because if there’s any left over pieces she will eat food and then puke. But this morning I moved the pen so I know there isn’t kibble in it and she can spend some quality time with them. ❤️ This is her first and last litter. She will be spayed and seeking a retirement home. She doesn’t do well with dominant female dogs and she can be one. I always love them to be only dogs in retirement life but she could handle living with another respectful older male dog.
