Hey friends, students, and supporters! I have added some really fun designs and products to the Steady Strides Equestrian online store. In addition to the usual logo gear, I have created new designs that are sure to be enjoyed by horse-lovers anywhere. Notebooks, tumblers, shirts, and more in 3 fun new designs... "Stay Wild", "Ride and Shine", and "Chin up, Heels down!"All of which are designed by me.

Spotlight post for Ham- a wonderful dog, mouser, supervisor, horse trainer, and friend.
Ham takes his farm dog role very seriously. He is the most loyal, lovable, and brave dog I have ever known. He has been my partner in crime since 2016, and we’ve been on many adventures together. Ham contributes to Steady Strides by providing pest control at the barn, keeping horses in line, guiding on trail rides, and providing cuddles to friends and family while watching lessons.
We love you, Ham! 💕

The Steady Strides pones went out for an off-site ride at Afton State Park on Sunday. Trail riding is excellent exercise for horses, as well as a great way to challenge a horse mentally and get them out of the "arena rut" that many lesson horses can fall into!

Roy has been working on clean flying changes! So proud of him.

Working with the babes! Kayce, featured in the first two clips, is a young mustang. He is curious and brave and fun to work with! The third clip is Bill, seen in this clip riding in a bareback pad and a halter only. Bill is a young off-track thoroughbred. So much fun! Thanks to their owners for allowing me the opportunity to work with such smart and capable horses!

Jack has been working hard in maintaining balance and gait in corners and turns. He gave it his best effort tonight! Thankful for him and for progress 🥰

Kristen and Vinnie have come a long way- in December of 2020, Kristen began riding lessons with me on Jack and Roy, and bought her first horse. It wasn't a conventional way of going about getting into riding to buy the horse first, but their story is an incredible one, and I happened to have had history with this horse many years ago, and I am honored to have them riding with me. Recently, they have been working on balancing and settling before and after a jump- I am so proud of their progress. Kristen is a thoughtful and committed rider and always impresses me with her motivation to show up for her riding partner and for herself. Way to go, Kristen!
