POULTRY:
Tomorrow 15 cage-free chickens (5-10 lbs/ea). We will deliver the purchased poultry tomorrow evening. Free delivery is offered within a 10-mile radius around River Falls, WI, where our farm is located. Buyers can also pick-up at the farm, or we can deliver 10-25 miles for a charge.
On September 27, we will process cage-free 15 turkeys (10-20 lbs/ea), which will make for an excellent, nutritious Thanksgiving dinner!
Poultry will be frozen when picked up.
Benefits:
1. Store-bought poultry uses special chemicals, which be a problem for people with food allergies. The processing center our farm uses does not.
2. Our chickens and turkeys are raised on our hobby farm, not in cages.
3. Our kids raise the animals as part of their chores to learn to care for animals.
4. Proceeds will be used to send one of our sons on a science trip, focusing on the environment, and supporting our farm efforts.
PORK:
Soon, we will process a pig. We sold half of the pig already, but the other half is available for purchase.
Benefits:
1. Our pigs are raised on our farm with ample space, not in cages.
2. Our kids raise the animals as part of their chores to learn to care for animals.
3. Proceeds will be used to send one of our sons on a science trip, focusing on the environment, and supporting our farm efforts.
Beef:
We should have beef available for purchase in mid-December. Let us know if you would like to purchase quarter, half, or full.
Benefits:
Pasture/grass-fed beef, cared for by our children.
