Opie's journey wasn't easy, but his mom showed up for him every single day- through the hard moments, the setbacks, and the small victories.

Training transformed their struggles into understanding, and gave them the gift of a full, beautiful life together. 🌈🐾

This one is for Opie... and for all the dog parents who choose love, even when it's hard. ❤️

💔🌈 In Memory of Opie 🌈💔

Saying goodbye is one of the hardest parts of sharing our lives with dogs. The grief that follows reminds us just how deeply they were loved.

Opie’s journey wasn’t an easy one — he came into training carrying big emotions and big challenges. But his mom never gave up on him. Through patience, dedication, and love, she gave him the best life possible.

We often talk about how training can change behavior… but it also changes relationships. It transforms struggle into understanding, chaos into communication, and challenge into connection. Opie’s story is a powerful reminder of that.

To everyone who shows up for the dogs who aren’t “easy,” who pour their hearts into the work even when it’s hard: what you do matters. You are giving your dog the greatest gift — a life where they are understood, accepted, and deeply loved.

This memorial video is dedicated to Opie, and to the unbreakable bond he shared with his mom. Though his time was far too short, their love and commitment will always be part of his legacy. 🐾💛

Hey guys- Crystal here. Teddy got groomed today and is donning a handmade bandana by Abby at Diggity Dawg Grooming... AND he smells like pumpkin spice.

Yes, I am that dog owner with the little pampered pooch. And I love it.

Funny story... Dog trainers are dog owners too.

And you always hope that your dog behaves at the groomer.

Well I show up for pick up and Teddy's barking and excited to see me...

And then his groomer Sara(h)- informed that one of the staff wanted to "talk to me about training."

And inside my heart dropped. I'm there picking up my sweet little Chihuahua and all of a sudden I'm thinking- did he get aggressive with them? Was he not good for the groomer and we need to work on some things?

Then a lady comes out to talk to me... about training with a dog SHE'S living with.

I was in fur mom mode you guys... and didnt realize she wanted to talk to me about dog training because I'M A TRAINER.

Wow, ya'll...

Phew! Teddy had a clear report and was a good boy and even handled the dremel well for the first time.

We may be trainers but we know our dogs aren't perfect... all dogs have their quirks and we understand how sometimes things can start turning the wrong way.

Being proactive is the best approach- addressing shifts and changes with adjustments before things snowball and unwanted behaviors are able to be practiced into habit.

I was fully prepared to practice human handling and get those grooming tools out with some treats...

In fact I still should, because it doesn't hurt to be proactive!

And the most honorable graduation goes to our Good Dog Graduates, Moose and Maddie! 🎓

Moose and Maddie’s parents have two gorgeous dogs who were lucky they’re as cute as they are. Moose was struggling with a strong hunting drive that made high-energy situations, especially with other male dogs, challenging. Maddie had some loud opinions whenever Moose got a little too excited, so the family wanted to focus on calming the energy in the house and working toward a more harmonious home.

They joined us for our Day Train Program, where we focused on appropriate walking, building a bulletproof recall, and encouraging relaxation when things start picking up in energy.

They have grown and matured so much! Moose has been able to welcome his fur cousin into the house and make great choices. Maddie has loved figure out the games that encourage quieter manners!

This family has been hard at work in their Better Dog Program, continuing to generalize that bulletproof recall. Both of them are making amazing strides, and we are so proud of the progress they’ve made!

Moose and Maddie have truly thrived as the good dogs their parents knew they could be. We are having so much fun watching them enjoy all of these new freedoms!

Congratulations to our Good Dog Graduate, Munch!🎓

Another one of our sensitive pups, if something changed and Munch could melt into the wall, he would. He had some insecurity issues that left him feeling uncomfortable ALL THE TIME.

His mom wanted better for him. She saw his confident side at home and knew that he could actually enjoy his life if he wasn’t so worried.

Munch joined us for our Day Train Program, where we focused on building his confidence and showing him that the world isn’t so scary.

He has really come into himself. He can now enjoy public outings without shutting down, and he is handling company coming over. He still shows his shy personality, but now he has much better coping skills!

We are so proud of him and how his confidence has grown. He is such a distinguished gentleman. We are excited to see him continue being the shy goof we know he can be!

Congratulations to our Good Dog Graduate, Duke!🎓

Duke’s parents came to us because they had a very lively Doberman puppy and wanted help with walking and enjoying the car.

They joined us for our Private Lesson Program, where we had a huge focus on quality over quantity. With how strong he is, the quality of the adventures was way more important than how far they were going.

Duke just wanted to be a good boy. When we took our time, he was such a gentleman and listened like a champ! He is a young dog, so he would forget easily, but he always came back for more.

Duke had some life changes that left him as the main dog of the house, so he is learning to settle in. He knows he wants to do right by his sister and has been maturing into a really good boy.

We are proud of Duke and his family, and we can’t wait to see their progress as he continues to mature.

Congratulations, Duke! 🎉🐾
