‼️🆘 CRITICAL URGENCY🆘‼️
We are in critical need of funds. With over 20 dogs & puppies in rescue we need $2800/mo to care for these dogs. Generally another $500-1000 in vet bills for medical conditions, injuries, spay and neuter.
Fundraising efforts have not been coming close to our needs.
Our 30 day Instagram fundraiser has raised just under $73. Wishful Wednesday and $5 Fridays have not been bringing in anything. We have two wonderful supporters that donate every month and have had some shirt sales. But even with that, we don’t clear $400. That doesn’t come close to the need.
The amount of rescues that are closing due to the lack of success raising funds, lack of volunteers willing to foster or help and slow adoptions is increasing every month.
We are a 501c3 nonprofit rescue, 100% volunteer based and 100% foster based. (As are most rescues). The California shelter crisis is getting worse. Shelters are hundreds over capacity and thousands of dogs are being euthanized each week.
The shelters are also experiencing low adoption rates, lack of volunteers and fosters.
Like most rescues, we are FULL. Meaning we do not have the needed funds and volunteer fosters to rescue anymore dogs. However, it doesn’t stop the nonstop requests from owners who cannot keep their dogs, shelters, euthanasia lists and networkers all begging for us to rescue and save more.
Help us GIVE THE NEEDED CARE, REHAB & TRAINING TO THE DOGS IN OUR PROGRAM TO MAKE SUCCESSFUL TRANSITIONS INTO THEIR NEW FOREVER HOMES AND CONTINUE TO SAVE MORE LIVES.

DFAM is entirely volunteer-driven, and our capacity to rescue Malinois and other working dog breeds hinges on the availability of dedicated foster homes, volunteers, and financial support.

A robust network of foster families is crucial for saving dogs that would otherwise be left without a chance. By opening your heart and home, you can be the key to a dog’s second chance. ❤️Accepting Applications❤️ CHARLIE is a large, beautiful, male, 1 yr old German Shepherd. He came to us as a huge, 9 mo old puppy that was kennel raised and scared of people. Charlie has come so far in his rehab and now LOVES attention and affection. He is playful, gets along with other friendly dogs and is regularly around horses.

Charlie is crate trained and has started outings for socialization and desensitizing. He has blossomed so much and is such a happy dog.

Charlie will need an adopter who will be understanding of his past and willing allow him to get to know and trust you.

💕Khaleesi💕 is a female, 16 wk old Belgian Malinois with a splash of of German Shepherd. Confident, fun and affectionate puppy, who showed off how well behaved she can be during her appearance on Fox News and during the Day of the Dog event in San Diego.

Khaleesi is intelligent and eager to learn. She is doing great with her basic obedience training provided by her loving fosters.
She is also crate trained and has been doing amazing on her potty training!

Khaleesi enjoys playing with other dogs, in water & with toys. She is social, enjoys new adventures, new people and is very affectionate.

Khaleesi was evaluated with a low drive with normal Mal puppy energy. She will make a wonderful addition to your active family.

Good with dogs of all sizes, social & affectionate.

🌟Birdie 🌟 is a gorgeous Fox Hound!
She's around 2-3yrs spayed. She's crate and potty trained. Does amazing with all dogs. Loves to run and play. She'd excel in Barn Hunt! She's super friendly and very affectionate 💓 Great with kids! She has a lot to offer a family.

‼️🆘 Another rescue closed, many almost to the point of closure, most rescues are on an intake hold, yet hundreds of dogs in our CA shelters are still being euthanized each week. 🆘‼️All of this puts even more strain on active rescues and YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!!

With millions of animal lovers, thousands of dog/pet related businesses and millions of residents in our communities, it is beyond time that people STOP LOOKING THE OTHER WAY and start taking action in this California crisis!

‼️DONATIONS‼️ rescues, including DFAM are seeing little to NO donations, sponsorships or contributions coming in. Yet, the expenses to take care of the animals in our program do not stop or slow down.
- Set up weekly/monthly donation payments through Zelle. Remember, Zelle doesn’t charge any fees.
- Skip the iced coffee or Frap and help SAVE A LIFE! We are in crisis and you can truly make a difference. There are several ways to donate. Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Website or Mail Check.
- Send DOG FOOD. Purchase items off of the Amazon Wishlists. Particularly food, which is a major necessity.

‼️ADOPT‼️ Adoptions for rescues and shelters are incredibly slow. Which leaves ongoing expenses, vet bills and care for longer than normal periods.Breeders are having trouble selling their dogs and puppies, which has led to them being dumped or surrendered to shelters and facing euthanasia.
-Please keep your dog! You made a commitment, now please stay with it. People work, marry, have kids, get sick and move while still owning pets and have done so for hundreds of years. You can too!
-Adopt and SAVE A LIFE! These dogs and puppies need you now!
- Work through behavioral issues with a professional trainer. Most behavioral issues are owner induced, MAKE the time to work through issues WITH A PROFESSIONAL! Don’t just dump your problem on someone else.

‼️FOSTER‼️ For a rescue to bring a dog into their program, they need the funding AND a volunteer foster. Without fosters, and funds, rescues CANNOT bring in anymore dogs!

‼️VOLUNTEER‼️there is so much to do to run a rescue. Rescues NEED COMMITTED VOLUNTEERS that will show up, do assigned tasks and HELP! There are many things you can do!

‼️SHARE‼️SHARE‼️
-If you are a networker that loads our messenger, email, dm’s, etc with posts asking/begging for help, YOU SHOULD reciprocate and support our rescue by sharing our fundraisers, fosters needed and dogs for adoption. Rescue doesn’t stop and dogs are still very much IN NEED UNTIL THEY ARE IN A FOREVER HOME. It’s really sad that this isn’t a given.
-If you ARE NOT A NETWORKER, sharing fundraisers, posts requesting fosters and dogs available for adoption will help continue to spread the word, reach more people and get more needed help!
- Comment on posts for fundraisers, fosters needed and dogs available for adoption on our page AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IN GROUPS our posts have been shared to. This will help bump posts up in the feed, allowing more people to see it!

⭐️PUPDATE⭐️ I wanted to give you a quick update on Texas.
The last photo is the day we picked him up. He was 20 lbs skinnier and severely dehydrated (look how sunken his face was. He needed surgery across both sides of his face and down his neck.
A few weeks ago Texas had his first surgery on each side of his face (see previous post for pics), made possible by and those who donated. Due to the sensitivity of that skin, amount of scar tissue and constant need to use his mouth, only so much could be repaired at a time. It was a big challenge keeping this high drive boy quiet for two weeks post op. And …the cone….the damn cone 🤦🏻‍♀️ We went through 6 of them, I believe. May have been more. He could flip it inside out so it was covering his shoulders instead of his face 😂 or just plain obliviate it. He couldn’t be left unattended. Texas did have to have one area resutured. BUT we made it through! Sutures were removed yesterday!🎉🎉
Texas is an incredible dog and so many people knew who he was. was able to put his breeder in touch with me, all the way from the Netherlands. She is the definition of what a breeder should be and has made tremendous strides and records in the K9 Sport community. Jeannette’s de la Rouquine Tervuerens compete and hold titles in all rings. She health screens and breeds with true intent and purpose to improve the breed. She was heartbroken seeing one of her dogs in this condition and has even raised funds for us for Texas’s ongoing recovery and next surgery. Texas is incredibly bred and on his way back to glory. He just turned 2 yrs this month and has a whole life ahead of him.
Next week Texas will be starting the Civilian Detection Course through ! We are super excited and very thankful! We also look forward to Saturday’s at !! Trust me…a few missing canines isn’t stopping this boy!
Although hard to tell now since his face had to be shaved again for surgery, but his coat is growing, he is gaining more and more muscle, his weight is good
and most importantly he is FOREVER SAFE and so very loved. He is our drivey firecracker!

⭐️WE NEED YOU⭐️ DFAM has some volunteer roles that need to be filled by COMMITTED individuals who want to make a difference!Delta Force Animal Mission is 100% volunteer based and 100% reliant on donations and sponsorships from individuals and businesses. This insures 100% of proceeds go directly to the care, training and medical expenses of the dogs in our program. DFAM is different than most rescues of working breed dogs, as we are understand their needs, their drive, different types and levels of drive, educate adopters and the public, evaluate, provide the needed training and proper working outlets for the dogs who need it. Then we properly match adopters with dogs that fit their lifestyle and needs. We don’t just SAVE LIVES, we stop the cycle of dogs returning to the shelters in the future. We are not your average rescue trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. We want all our dogs to live their best, fulfilled lives! Because we are 100% dependent onvolunteers, it is extremely important that those applying are committed to their stated availability, dependable, self motivated and work well with others. Our volunteers and dogs depend on it. The dogs and other volunteers suffer when there is no follow through. Working with our 501c3 nonprofit is not only extremely rewarding, but a great way to give back, get a lot of experience working with/training/handling different dogs and/or building experience for your resume. ❤️AVAILABLE for ADOPTION❤️ Reign is a small but mighty, very sweet and loving Belgian Malinois Female and mother to the Royal litter. Reign is crate and potty trained. She started her obedience training and is doing fantastic. Reign enjoys water, is very playful and fun with tons of personality that will keep you smiling. Medium drive which might be developed if desired. LOVES affection and people, while still being protective. She listens well. Reign is good with other dogs but can be a tiny bit assertive at times. Reign is pretty good with the cats, but will still playfully chase them at times, which we are still working on. Reign is ready to have a forever family of her own.
