This beautiful and sweet boy is looking for his forever home. Originally he was going home with a family who lost their home in the LA fires and then he was reserved by a second family who was all set to pick him up this weekend. They just found out that the father was promoted and is being transferred to Northern California. Yaaay for them! They asked if they could wair until our summer Litter to bring their puppy home so they don’t have to bring him home during move. So by no fault of his own this little boy is available. He is 12 weeks old, almost completely potty trained, knows several commands, has had two vaccinations and is fully wormed. He is the sweetest boy who knows nothing but love and never barks. We had an absolutely gorgeous all yellow litter out of Indiana and Rowan nine weeks ago. All the puppies were reserved and had wonderful homes. Unfortunately, three of our families either lost their homes to the LA fires or were displaced because of them. One of the families that lost their home decided to take their puppy. He went home yesterday and is doing awesome. I waited to hear from the other two families and both of them decided today it just wasn’t the right time. So we now have two absolutely stunning boys available to go to their new homes. Both boys are loving, smart (they have been a dream to train) and very social. They resemble their father more than their mother and are a bit darker than both. The only difference between the two is one is ever so slightly darker and has a little white on his chest. As far as personalities, they could not be sweeter. Both of them have joyous souls and are VERY affectionate. Please feel free to call or text if you’re interested. (951)515-7813

13 years ago we brought Sadie home. She was the sweetest girl and she changed our lives in ways we never could have imagined. We had already been breeders of Cattledogs, but I fell deeply in love with her English Labrador gentleness, intelligence and deep loyalty. I had never met another dog who was so eager to learn and wanted nothing but love in return. She was the epitome of unconditional love.

We lost Sadie tonight. On a rainy Sunday evening my daughter Amanda and I held her while she took her last breath. I have counseled so many people over the years about losing an animal and said the words, “no matter how long we have them, it never seems to be long enough.“
No truer words have ever been spoken. She will be deeply missed and I will forever be grateful to have loved her. Godspeed Sadie May.

So something happened to me today that has never happened before. I had a customer who took home one of our puppies six months ago refer to us as a puppy mill. To be honest with you, my heart sank. I couldn’t understand where I went wrong in the situation. The family had come to our ranch, met us, received a healthy happy puppy, and were given lots of support after they took their puppy home. There were no issues whatsoever. In all the follow-up conversations over the week that their puppy went home, there was nothing but praise and that their puppy was wonderful and healthy.

I suppose there’s the old adage that you can’t make everyone happy, but calling a legitimate, hard-working, and reputable breeder a puppy mill, is devastating. We love our Labradors and breeding them isn’t just a business for us, but a labor of love.

Having said that, I will do what I always do in these situations and learn from it. I’m not sure there was anything I could’ve done differently, but that doesn’t mean I can’t improve on making families feel more supported and comfortable.

Our Story

We are hobby breeders of exceptional AKC English Labradors. Our first focus is on temperament while taking serious consideration into the bloodlines, aesthetics and conformation of each Labrador. We aim for an intelligent, well rounded Labrador that is easily trainable and traditional in looks. We raise our dogs in our home among our family. Our dogs and their puppies are socialized with horses, cats, other dogs, adults and children. Puppies from previous litters have gone to a variety of different homes and disciplines- certified therapy dog, emotional support companion, hunt trained, show ring, have been used in TV commercials and of course have gone to many wonderful companion/family homes. We test for OFA hips and elbows and breed appropriate genetic testing. We produce about 4 litters a year and most of our litters are chocolate & black, but we do have an occasional yellow litter. If we don't have the puppy you are looking for we are happy to refer you to another reputable breeder.
