Puppies are growing well! Eyes and ear flaps are open! Cassie is a great mom and very protective! Owen has named them John, Joseph, Ruby and Diamond.

Vet check today. Everyone is well. Tails and dew claws done. Mama Cass got some antibiotics to ward off anything that may be brewing. Her temperature was a little higher than he liked. So we'll keep an eye on that. Going to get appointments made to get out of the business. I will leave Skye open and wait for Bruno to be ready. But everyone else will be retired.

It was a long night! We stayed up and gave Cassie shots every two hours to help her milk let down. The puppies finally figured out how to latch on and this morning, everyone seemed to have full tummies and were snuggled up and warm. I will weigh them again today when I get home and see where we are. Vet check for everyone tomorrow morning!

A long hard day and it's not over yet. Cassie was laboring this morning when I left. Ninety minutes later when B came home she had three stillborn pups and was in the whelping box having a tiny little male puppy. Hubby called me. I dashed home. She had three more puppies. So we have four live. Two of each flavor. We are giving her shots every two hours to help her milk come in. Puppies are finally beginning to latch on. It's going to be a long night.... I think this will be her 'one and done'. It was hard on her.

Between sickness, taking care of me mudder, and work, I have not had time to update my Cocker shenanigans! About 56 days ago at 3:30 a.m. We awoke to Re*****on and Cassie having a little tryst! Re*****on chewed, yes chewed, through the chain link gate to escape and have his way with her. So, I was hopeful that the 40% chance of it taking would not happen. Oh no... Re*****on is very potent! So, long story short, we are expecting puppies on leap day!! Stay tuned!!

The breeding business is very time consuming and hard work to do it right and do it well. I am considering closing my business and getting everyone spayed and neutered. I just have too many irons in the fire with working two jobs, taking care of my mother, being very sick most of the winter, and normal day to day stuff. I would like to get one more litter from Re*****on and Luna, but time will tell. It's a good side business, but I just don't have the time right now to devote to it. It is a hard decision.

Okay, here are the best pictures I've gotten so far. Luna had three boys outside under the porch. Kelton came to the rescue and took his skinny self under and brought out the puppies. After moving them inside to the whelping box and getting her all settled down, Luna had one more. All four puppies are healthy and male. We have two chocolate (which is a very desired color in Cockers!), one black and one buff. While it caught us by surprise, we are happy and ready to raise another litter. Luna and Re*****on make the cutest puppies!! 💕🐶💕
