Spring has sprung! Which means…vaccination season is upon us as well!

If you are wondering what vaccinations your horse should receive, the answer is — There are no “one size fits all” vaccine recommendations. A veterinarian who knows your horse and your management system is your best resource to recommend what vaccines your equine friend should receive and with what frequency!

While vaccination does not prevent disease in all circumstances, a good immunization protocol minimizes the risk of infection and remains an essential component of responsible horse ownership. A vaccination appointment is also the perfect opportunity for a yearly check-up of your equine friend and a great way to catch any health concerns early.

If you have yet to contact your veterinarian about scheduling your horse's vaccinations, we encourage you to do it soon!

Equine dental care is an essential component of your equine companion's routine healthcare. Poor dental health can lead to severe issues that can consequently negatively affect your horse's health beyond just their mouth, teeth, and gums.

This graphic shows some common signs that your animal needs to be seen for dental care. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of signs. However, if your equine does display any of these signs, it's a good idea to call your veterinarian out to do a full dental exam in order to discern if dental work or treatment is needed.

For more equine dental health information, visit the resources on our website: https://aaep.org/resource/introduction-to-equine-dentistry/

As always, if you have questions or concerns about your horse's dental health, consult your veterinarian.

Anyone looking for a new canine companion?
Miss Josey is looking for her forever home. She is a sweet 8.5 year old female spayed heeler cross. Up to date on vaccines as well. A quiet home without kids would probably be best for her.
If interested, feel free to reach out via DM or calling/texting 307-920-0074. Thanks.

Great news, the Wyoming Livestock Board has extended Brucellosis vaccine requirements from 12 months of age to 14 months of age this year, given the current RB51 vaccine shortage. Please note this does not apply to cattle ran in the DSA.
Additional information from the livestock board is attached below.

You can still call us to get on the list, and we will contact you as soon as more vaccine comes in.
