🐾 This Tuesday, December 2nd is Giving Tuesday! 🐾
At Paws for Life Animal League, your donation goes straight to the care of the hundreds of animals that come through our doors every year, waiting for their second chance.
The costs to provide a safe haven and loving care are staggering:
* Food & Vet Care
* Kitty Litter & Cleaning Supplies
* Building Maintenance
We are their resting spot, a safe place to heal and grow until they find their furever home. Some stay for a while, but we never give up on them.

❤️ Maisy's Journey: Maisy was with us for over 440 days. She arrived scared and her shyness caused her to be overlooked time and again. But with patience, she learned to trust. She finally found her person and is now snuggled up in a warm, loving home!
🐈 Mossy the Fighter: Sweet Mossy was rushed straight to the vet with severe illness, fighting renal failure. We didn't know if she would make it, but day by day, she showed us her fighting spirit. Her vet care costs were incredibly high, but completely worth it! Mossy fully recovered and is now getting the love she deserves in her forever family.

🎉 Happy Thanksgiving from Paws for Life Animal League! 🎉
The smell of turkey is filling the air, and we know you want to share the holiday feast with your beloved pets. Before you drop a bite, check out our guide on what's safe to share with your dog or cat!
⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: ALWAYS check with your veterinarian before giving your pet any "people food." What's safe for one animal might not be for another.
✅ Safe Shares for Dogs & Cats
These items must be plain, fully cooked, and free of spices, butter, or gravy:
* Plain, Cooked Turkey: A small piece of white meat is fine! ABSOLUTELY NO SKIN or BONES! Bones are a choking hazard and can cause severe internal damage.
* Plain, Cooked Sweet Potatoes 🍠
* Plain Green Beans
* Carrots
* Plain Pumpkin (NOT pie filling, which is full of sugar and spices!)
> Special Note for Cats: Cats can have a small, plain piece of ham, but it is generally NOT recommended for dogs due to high sodium content.
🚫 Absolutely AVOID (These are DANGER foods!)
Keep your pets far away from these toxic or harmful ingredients:
* Chocolate
* Onion & Garlic
* Gravy, Stuffing, & Butter (Too much fat and seasoning!)
* Grapes or Raisins
* Raw Potatoes
* Alcohol
* Any kind of yeast dough

🐾 Paws for Life Animal League Senior Spotlight! 🐾
Do you have a little extra room in your heart and home? We have so many wonderful senior cats who are just waiting to shower you with unconditional love! ❤️ Adopting a senior kitty is a truly rewarding experience, and they have so many good reasons to become your next best friend.
Our golden-aged cats have so much love left to give and deserve a cozy place to spend their retirement years. They often come to you pre-programmed with excellent manners and are past the chaotic kitten stage. Think instant best friend and lap warmer!
Meet Our Adorable Senior Crew Looking for Love:
🐾Faith (13 yrs old): This beauty is so cuddly and friendly with gorgeous fluffy fur! She's ready to purr her way into your heart.
🐈‍⬛Zipper (12 yrs old): Zipper is incredibly friendly and loving. He might be a little blind, but he navigates life with the biggest heart!
🐾Grizz (13 yrs old): Grizz's only requirement? A warm lap or couch to lay on! He enjoys pets but will politely let you know when he's had enough royal attention.
🐈‍⬛ Button (15 yrs old): Quiet, calm, and blind in one eye, Button is the perfect lap warmer for your next TV binge session!
🐾 Heidi (13 yrs old): So friendly and affectionate, Heidi has a lot of stories she's ready to tell you!
🐈‍⬛ Sammy (15 yrs old): Sammy is looking for a quiet home and a warm bed. He's friendly and loves gentle pets.
🐾 Tara (14 yrs old): Tara has been waiting for her furever home and a place to spend her golden years. She's friendly and enjoys being held.
🐈‍⬛ Pepper (11 yrs old): Super friendly and affectionate! Pepper is constantly making "biscuits" because he is so happy to get attention.

It's almost time for our thanksgiving bake sale! This Saturday the 22nd 12pm-2pm at the library. We will have so many tasty treats, some by professional bakers! Roni from sweet surprises, the busy mother, the private chef, Wyoming baker are just a few of the bakers that will have their yummy treats at the bake sale. All proceeds go to help with the care for all the animals at the shelter. Stop by and support paws and get some thanksgiving goodies! Also, come see our 4 legged turkeys that will be there to greet you!
