I wanted to do something special highlighting Maisy. She has been one of my favorites since the very beginning, however she gets overlooked. Maisy has kennel aggression which is hard to interpret as she fiercely defends her safe space. As I knelt next to Maisy today to get her out I did so already knowing her sweet and kind heart, it is a different face than what she shows in her kennel but one far more important in her personality and this allowed be the extra moments of patience that it may take to get her out to go to the run. I tried to show her different reactions in the short video. The point being…please take time to get to know these amazing dogs outside of their kennels. While I know Maisy wouldn’t like a small child trapping her into any kind of restraint, I do think that she would give her whole wiggling heart to the right person or few people as she does to me whenever she has a quick quiet moment. ~Volunteer Photographer
