My name is Maryann Segura and I am a professional traveling pet sitter. I have always been the person that people trust with their pets. My experience in pet care has developed from taking care of my own pets to my family/friends over the years. I started my pet sitting business Wags and Whiskers Pet Care in 2019 offering services from overnights stays at clients homes to pet walks. My passion for

animals has only opened new doors for me and has exposed me to working and learning about different types of breeds and personalities. Good evening and Happy (almost) 4th of July!

Here are 4 Paws-itively Important Tips to keep your doggo calm and safe:

1️⃣ Tire ’Em Out – A tired pup is a calm pup. Get those zoomies out with a nice long walk or play session before the fireworks start.

2️⃣ Snuggle Fortress – Create a cozy den where they feel safe. Crate? Check. Blankets? Check. Favorite toy that’s missing an eye and half its stuffing? DOUBLE CHECK.

3️⃣ ID, Please! – Make sure your dog is microchipped and/or wearing an up-to-date name tag. Fireworks can turn even the chillest dog into an escape artist.

4️⃣ Keep Calm & Carry Treats – Keep pups inside during fireworks. If your vet gave meds, use them as prescribed. Want a natural option? Melatonin can help mellow your pup (but always ask your vet first—Dr. Google is not licensed).

💥 Bonus Tip: Don’t bring your dog to the fireworks show. They don’t care about “ooh” and “ahh”

Highly recommended: Maryann! She’s the bestest bestest bestie ever!

She loves me just the way I am (even when I’m a little strong headed 🐶) and always has treats ready — she knows that’s the way to my heart… and my good behavior!

I love to chat with squirrels 🐿️, but Maryann keeps me in check like a pro. She’s fun, kind, and totally pawsome. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands us pups, Maryann’s your human!
