Due to the lateness of the final watermain break repairs last evening, water test sample testing at the lab did not begin until early this morning. As a result, the temporary boil order for all residences on Masters, Interlochen, Long Cove and Wild Dunes remains in effect until at least 8am on Monday, September 15, 2025. Due to three watermain breaks in the area, the following streets have a temporary, 24-hour boil order. All of Masters, Interlochen, Long Cove and Wild Dunes. If your street is not on this list, the boil order does not apply to you. The broken watermain on Masters/Interlochen has been repaired and water service restored. The Lake County Health Department continues to see increased activity of West Nile Virus in the County in their mosquito surveillance data. A high percentage of mosquito traps tested positive for WNV, with this past week’s data showing 84% of the mosquito traps in the county tested positive for WNV. Residents are encouraged to take personal protection measures, such as using EPA-registered mosquito repellent. Residents are also strongly urged to eliminate or drain areas that can hold stagnant water on their property to help reduce the mosquito population and WNV activity. https://alrt.se/u/bg6xS0sA18D

A cable is down on the street across the 1800 block of South Robinwood Ln. It is not a power line and is safe. An officer was able to lower it onto the road to allow cars to drive over it. Notification has been made to repair it. https://alrt.se/u/NnpZh3sjZ38

Residents Day Canceled Due to Weather – Garage Sale Still On!

Dear Neighbors,

We’re so sorry to share that Residents Day, originally scheduled for Saturday, July 19, has been canceled due to an unfavorable weather forecast. This was not an easy decision, but the safety of our community is our top priority. With rain expected, we would not be able to safely host many of the planned outdoor activities—especially the inflatables, the band and other elements that require dry conditions.

We also wanted to make this decision early in order to give our incredible vendors and performers as much notice as possible. We are grateful for their partnership and for all the effort that went into preparing for the event.

The Village Garage Sale will still take place as planned, indoors at Village Hall from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, so we encourage you to come by and support your neighbors!

We know this news is disappointing, but we’re already looking ahead. We plan to reschedule the event for late September or early October, and we hope to see you there to celebrate as a community—just a little later than planned.

Thank you for understanding, and for being part of what makes our village so special.

Workin' at the car wash!🎵🧼🚗 Woohoo!
Our Summer Campers were blown away by everyone who showed up and supported their waterpark dreams at our car wash today. Together we raised well over our $1,200 goal, which means everyone will be able to enjoy an incredible day at the BIG waterpark!
A huge shoutout to our staff, who joined our campers in bringing the elbow grease and the heart while making our community smile and their cars sparkle.
Thank you to every family member, friend, and neighbor who drove through to support us, and a special thanks to the Riverwoods Police Department (Village of Riverwoods) for showing love to our CEL community. 🧡

At least two Riverwoods Residents have reported receiving a voicemail message from "Agent" Jones of Cook County regarding an important legal matter and asking to be called back at 224-229-1245. This is a scam. Ignore these voicemails or hang up if you answer the call. If you are a Riverwoods resident and spoke to the scammer and gave him any personal information, please call the Riverwoods Police non-emergency number, 847-945-1820, to report it.
