Schaefer's Miniature American Shepherds, located in North Carolina, is a small hobby breeder that strives to produce quality pups that are structurally correct, have great temperaments and are free from genetic defects. We believe that every dog has something special to offer, be it on the herding field, in the conformation ring, participating in performance events, or as a devoted family member.

We strive to produce pups that are physically and mentally capable of fulfilling their potential. We love dogs that can do any job asked of them and can look good doing it.

Hi Tonya!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! 🎄

I wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for allowing us to bring home such a beautiful and wonderful dog from your litter. We are truly thankful for the care and training you provided, especially with the crate training for King (Gamja). It has made such a positive difference; he had no issues during the car ride home—no throw up or peeing, and he handles long car rides like a champ.

King is always receiving compliments on how well-trained he is, and we always mention how wonderful you are for laying the groundwork. He has a fantastic temperament, and we are thrilled to share that he just graduated from his puppy class at PetSmart! He’ll be starting his intermediate class later in January, and we couldn’t be more proud of him

I've been keeping up with his littermates through Good Dogs, Facebook, and your website, and it made me so happy to see that all of his brothers and sisters found loving homes

Morticia now Lucy went to her new home last week and is loving playing with her new brother, another Schaefer’s pup. Thank you Steve for giving both of this pups such a great home.
