Maggie and Jackson had such a good time at Splash Valley Water Park during their annual Pooches in the Pool event. We are always so happy to be able to participate in things like this with our babies. Tonight is the Salem Red Sox game with them as well. We are going to have such tired babies.

๐ŸŒž Vacation, all I ever wanted! ๐ŸŒž (Part 2)

What about trips where you canโ€™t bring your dog? This doesn't have to be a bad thing, as long as you prepare! Well before your trip, consider where your dog will feel the most comfortable.

๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ• Boarding Facilities - For many dogs, a boarding facility can be like a vacation for them while youโ€™re away. They get to meet lots of new people, and many places have play time during the day. But if your dog is nervous in new places, around new people, or doesnโ€™t get along with most dogs, this environment can be stressful and/or overstimulating to them. Do a few trial runs before your trip to make sure your dog has a good time. They will also feel more comfortable being there if theyโ€™ve been there before and know that you will come back for them (especially important for rescued dogs!). ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

๐Ÿ  House Sitting - This is a great option for dogs that do better sticking to their regular routine or donโ€™t like to be around a bunch of other dogs. Meet your house sitter before you go, and consider doing a short trip before a long vacation so you can make sure everybody is comfortable and happy.

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™ We hope you have a safe and happy summer with lots of fun trips and memories! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™

If you have these types of trays laying around, or are able to get us them in bulk quantities, we would appreciate it! These are perfect for disposable litterboxes for tiny kittens or sick cats. We go through them very quickly and can take any available (any size)
Thank you in advance!

Fear Free Certified shelters and veterinary clinics pay attention to stress levels of pets they are caring for and try to make the experience as stress-free as possible. Part of this process may involve Cooperative Care. Cooperative care is a training method that allows the animal to be a willing participant in its care and any potentially uncomfortable situations. The training process teaches the animal that it is allowed to โ€œsay noโ€ when it needs a break. Allowing an animal to have agency over its experiences, provides them with a sense of control of its environment increases their willingness to participate in unpleasant events. Cooperative care is used in many zoos and it also works with dogs, cats, birds, and even horses! You can learn more about Cooperative Care through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) Journal. https://journal.iaabcfoundation.org/cooperative-care/

A huge thank you to Blue Hills Car Wash for resurrecting our last yard sign that we purchased two years ago. They always keep our vehicles looking pristine! We appreciate you so very much!!

Speaking of vehicles, my Kia Sportage was totaled just before Christmas and this is the new addition to the fleet. Very comfortable and roomy. Plenty of space to fit all our stuff and the babies

Happy Friday! Linda and I are constantly reminded of how blessed and lucky we are to do what we do. Yesterday we received a review from a new client that touched our hearts and we wanted to share it with everyone. We can't thank all our awesome clients enough for being a part of the pawsome family. We appreciate you all so very much and hope you have a fantabulous Friday and pawsome weekend!

Rave reviews from our house for Pawsome Pet Sitting. Had to leave unexpectedly for a funeral and had never used a kennel for 2 dogs. Found Pawsome on Next Door and hired them over phone with some trepidation about leaving our babies with strangers. Needed not to have feared. Linda and Steve dealt professionally and patiently and kindly with the one dog who is mortally afraid of strangers and they gained his trust. The other dog is getting a better harness from us due to Pawsome's recommendation for this little tank of a pittie who can try to pull ahead on a walk. Honestly, you should see for yourself how much your pet will be loved in your absence with Pawsome. I felt the dogs and the house were in safe hands the entire time with Linda and Steve. Definitely will use them again. Don't know about tv's Ceasar M but Linda and Steve can whisper too, apparently.
