When we began the rabbit raising project in the Spring of 2020 my goal was to see if I had it in me to breed, grow out, and process rabbits. Fast forward three years and that goal has been accomplished. I never could have accomplished that goal if not for the long suffering support and efforts of my Husband. He built and designed frames for cages and even built entire new structures from literal scraps of material when we could not afford to buy proper materials which made the job nine times more difficult. He did all this with an injured shoulder, bad knees and ankles, and the inevitable backaches that came with it. We even added Muscovys along the way last year to see how that would go with the same goal in mind and we accomplished that too which again, would not have been possible without the help of my husband and this time also his Childhood Best Friend. Over the past three years I owe a lot of thanks also to my Mother for babysitting, my Father and Son, and older Daughter for their indispensable assistance in driving and lifting and hauling home cages and hutches and materials and even helping to trim nails and dose remedies. I consider the knowledge and experience that we have gained over the last three years priceless. I say all of this to say thank you to my family but also to say this: We are all in a different season of life now. Our home needs some much needed upgrades and repairs. Our children are in different seasons of life now as well and we want to offer the kind of individual love, support, and guidance that they need at this time. We sold our last three Muscovys months ago and are now in the process of streamlining and simplifying the rabbitry to five animals to reduce the demands on our time. If you've made it this far thanks for reading and we hope you and yours have a Happy and Blessed Father's Day.❤️
