Playtime with adoptable Iverson (aka Ivy) and one of her favorite humans, Jordan. There are few things that bring Ivy more joy than her beloved squeaky toys. Ivy is a medium-sized 4 1/2-year-old pittie mix who was originally brought to us in 2023 after her owner could not longer afford to take care of her. She was adopted and returned again, to no fault of her own, after her owners split up and moved. Ivy deserves a stable life outside the shelter with a consistent family who is willing to care for her and love her for the rest of her life!
Ivy has megaesophagus, a very manageable condition, and uses a Bailey chair to sit and eat (see comments for a pic) and it's really one of the cutest qualities about her. She would do best in an active home with no cats or small children, but most importantly she would love a family that would play with her until the end of time. 😊
Come meet Ivy at our Adoption Event tomorrow from 1-4pm here at AoA, all adult dogs are just $50! Or, if you have any questions ahead of time feel free to reach out to [email protected].
Kimberley is getting verrrry sleeeeepy waiting for her forever home! 💤⏳
This 10-year-old tuxedo has been patiently waiting at Kitty City Cat Cafe for almost 6 months! She’s a beautiful, calm and sweet cat who enjoys pets and would be an ideal napping buddy. Unfortunately, we think Kimberley is often overlooked because of her age even though she is a healthy cat and still has many, many more years to make a family very happy. Stop by Kitty City Cat Cafe or email us at [email protected] if you’d like to give this girl a loving home!
Update: the mama and her 7 puppies from yesterday are looking for a foster! The puppies are a little younger than we originally thought, so we're hoping to find them and mom a quiet, calm place for the next 2 weeks where they can be kept separate from other animals in the home. Puppies are still nursing a bit but also eating kibble and mama is very very sweet! Please reach out to [email protected] if you can help!
Just 25 seconds of adoptable Vera Wang taking a water break.🥹 This cute lop-eared bunny is looking for a forever family where she can be the main attraction. Vera was returned to us because she was not getting along with the other rabbits in the home, so we think she’d be best with human companionship only. Bunnies often make great apartment pets since they are quiet, do well in smaller spaces, and can even be litter box trained! Email [email protected] or stop by our Adoption Center if you’re interested in adopting Vera Wang.
*Update: Foster Found!*
The 27 cats rescued on New Year's Eve quickly became 31 once Party gave birth shortly after arriving to AoA. Her and her four kittens are looking for a foster for 8 weeks where they can have a quiet and warm space. Party is doing a great job taking care of her babies right now, but we are looking for a foster who would be willing to care for the babies, like bottle-feeding, if need be. Please reach out to Ethan at [email protected] if you'd be willing to help this little family out!
We have a lot of new faces here at AoA that are just waiting to head off to their new homes, in addition to some patient long-timers who are equally as deserving of a family. If you or anyone you know is looking for a new best friend, we've got you covered! You can see all our available pets here: angelsofassisi.org/how-to-adopt, or stop by our Adoption Center any day from 12-6pm to meet them in person!
