Dozer (1yr old French Bulldog)
Meet this smart boy, Dozer (1 yr old French Bulldog). Dozer came to me because he was seriously a bulldozer! His mom is in a wheelchair and he took advantage of the situation. He would pull mom in the wheelchair trying to go where he wanted, he was bossy and aggressive about bullying to get his way. This boy learned some major boundaries and learned how to be patient and ask for things. My sister is awesome at helping me whenever we have clients with disabilities. It isn’t enough that that he will do it for me….. He has to be able to listen to someone in that less dominant sitting position. We practiced both to help him understand our expectations! Thank you Lisa for helping to demonstrate how far this boy has come in our two weeks Bootcamp! Now mom can take him out for potty breaks and walks with confidence!! #mannersmatter #dogtraining
Beaugy (1.5yr old Labrador Retriever)
Meet Beaugy (1.5 yr old Labrador Retriever). This strong boy gets excited when around other dogs and people. He actually pulled his mom down and caused her to get a broken nose in his excitability stage. This boy needed to learn some strong boundaries and self control. We also had to teach mom some leadership skills that would help Beaugy to realize who was in charge. This sweet boy was smart and caught on quickly. We had to practice a lot in these environments so he could fully grasp our expectations in the future! I’m proud to say he did really well and has continued to do well at home with mom! I’m proud of both of my students!! #mannersmatter #dogtraining
Frannie (1yr Golden Retriever)
This lil rockstar is Frannie, (1yr old Golden Retriever). She is a social butterfly but her lack of boundaries and excitability tended to get her in trouble when she jumped & nibbled in her excitement phase. She had to learn some firm boundaries and practice a lot of self control so she can do proper meet & greets in public. This girl will need reminders with her ADD but she is now able to go and do more with her favorite humans in public! Good girl, lil Franners!!
Pearl (9 month old Mini Aussie/Heeler-X)
This curious girl is Pearl (1.5 yr old Mini Aussie-Heeler-X). She came to work on her leash walking manners among other things. This lil girl would get excitable on leash and pull, bark for attention and needed some socialization skills. We also worked on building her confidence up while in public settings. This sweet girl was smart, attentive, a great multitasker and she loves to please! These great qualities helped her to learn firm boundaries, focus on me, and overcome fears in busy settings. I’m so proud to call her my student! Good good girl, Ms Pearly!
May (1.6yr old Blue Heeler-X)
This timid lil girl is May (1.5yr BlueHeeler-X). She came to learn manners but also to work on her confidence! She is very insecure and would do submissive plops or shut down with overstimulation or “hurt feelings”. She may be super sensitive but also very smart! Once we got her confidence built up, we could see how smart this lil girl was!! So proud of her progress here and at home!! Great job sweet lil MayMay!!
Dasher (3yr old Mini-Aussie)
This adorable lil man is Dasher (3yr old Mini-Aussie). He is an energetic combination of ADD, insecurity & vocalization! This reactive behavior kept him from going and doing things with mom!! We worked on building his confidence while setting new boundaries on what acceptable behavior looks like. This guy respects leadership and caught on quickly! Although he is still nervous in high stimulus situations like this visit to Home Depot, he redirects really welll. He also manages his ADD well by multitasking. Look at all those checkins with me! I could not be any prouder of the progress he made while here! Good good boy lil Dashers!
Stella (8 month old Labrador Retriever)
This sweet lil girl is Stella (8 month old Labrador Retriever). This lil girl needed help with many boundaries including jumping, barking, & nipping especially when around humans & other dogs! She loves people and her excitement & high energy usually got her in trouble! She learned proper manners and got to practice patience & self control in many settings while she was here! This lil girl respects leadership and learned better ways of doing things! Ms Laura is super proud of the progress she here and continues to make at home! Atta girl, Stellies!!
Oliver (1 yr old Goldendoodle)
This timid boy is Oliver (1 yr old Goldendoodle). This boy is stubborn (as most smarty pants can be) and a lil bit of a slow processor. He will do all the things but you just need to give him a lil more time to think about them and not push him! He will get faster and faster the more he practices but these things are important to remember when distractions are present! He is smart but just needs a lil extra time to process! I am so proud of his progress here! And can we just notice this spectacular sunset happening in the background!! 🙌 Good job Ollie-boy!!
Theodore (1 yr old Goldendoodle)

Zelda (1 yr old Husky-Cattledog-X)
This beautiful lil girl is Zelda (1 yr old Husky-cattle dog-X). This active girl came to work on many things such as playbite-nipping, jumping, reactivity on leash, and tunnel vision when distracted among some other things! She needed some clear boundaries in several areas! This smart girl was attentive and a great multitasker! Even though she had a flare for the dramatics and like to be vocal…. She caught on quickly and was a great multitasker! This lil girl does great as long as she does not get too overstimulated so we, as great proactive dog handler, will do our best to make sure that does not happen! Great job sweet Zelda girly! Ms Laura is proud of you!!
George (10 month Labrador Retriever)
This enthusiast boy is George (10 month old Labrador Retriever). He came to learn some boundaries and reset some of his bossy behavior! This boy is smart but his impulsive personality along with his ADD and high energy got him in trouble more times than not. We had to enforce some boundaries while also teaching him about patience & self control! Despite his stubborn side and distract-ability, he learned how to multitask and watch both me, the leader, and all the other stuff & things! This guy will need occasional reminders to stay on task but his respect of strong leadership helps him to redirect back to me when he gets off task! So proud of this guy! Now, he will get to enjoy more outings with his family and that makes me happy for him! Good man, Georgie boy!
Tex (1 yr French Bulldog)
This cute but stubborn lil man is Tex (1 yr French Bulldog). This big guy has a very dominant personality and likes to be in charge. We had to work on some major boundaries to earn his respect! He is stubborn and a lil impatient and doesn’t always want to do things my way….. notice the slow pouty walk in the video! lol The thing is, these types of dogs require strong leadership because they need reminders everyday. He can listen to my instruction but without that follow through, he would gladly take advantage of every chance he could to do things his way. This boy is respectful of strong leadership so I am hopeful he will continue to improve at home as well! This boy is a work in progress and I’m proud of the strides he made here in his 2 week stay. Good job Texy!

This handsome fella is Bob (5 month old Golden Retriever). This attentive boy is a mixture of sweet & stubborn. He came to learn all the basic manners! Although he can be a slow processor, we learned that he was NOT dumb! He just needs a lil more time to think things through. This rowdy guy is Marley (3yr old Picardy Spaniel). He came to work on some major boundaries and to learn about self-control! I am very proud of his progress! Good boi Marley-man!
Honu (9 month old Airedale Terrier)
This energetic lil girl is Honu (9 month old Airedale Terrier). This lil girl is so smart but struggles with self control. She is ADDHD and tends to get Tunnel vision when distracted. We worked a lot on her Focus. Due to her amazing multitasking skills, she was able to learn to check in with me regularly while watching everything else around her. This is very important when you have a dog that gets distracted easily. If you can regain their focus, you still have a dog you can control. Super job my lil Hawaiian friend!!
Andi (9.5 month old Germ Shep-X)
This impulsive lil girl is Andi (9.5 months old Germ Shep-X). She has ADD and a “me-first attitude” about her. She has a new tiny human coming soon and she needed to learn some boundaries & practice self control! She is sweet & smart and caught on quickly. With her impulsive personality, she may always need a few reminders to stay on task. She has made a lot of progress. I hope that with her new listening skills & boundaries, she will get to be more present with all of the family that she adores! Good girl lil Anders! Ms s Laura is proud of you!
Jack (2yr Germ Shep/Aust Shep-X)
This timid lil friend is Jack (2yr old Germ Shep/Aust Shep-X). This guy came to work on all the basic manners & boundaries… especially in leash walking and door manners. We also worked on socialization to help build up his confidence in public. He is slow to trust so space & time are needed for him to get comfortable with new places & people. I loved seeing him grow more confident with ever field trip! This boy will now get to enjoy more time with his family on patio dining outings & baseball games with his new manners! Good boy Mr Jack!!
Roxie (3.5 yr Pyrenees)
This pretty lil girl is Roxie (3.5yr old Pyrenees). She came from a sad rescue situation and was afraid of everything. Mom & dad did a lot to boost her confidence before she came to see me. We got to work more on her boundaries and socialization. This girl is smart and learned how to manipulate getting out of things with dramatic displays of overreactions. This probably came from her survival mode and was effective in her previous situation. The good news is….. when we ignored her dramatic displays, and asked her to trust me as a leader….she did! She just needed a strong leader to follow. She is respectful of leadership and now that she has her foundation of boundaries, she will do awesome at home with mom & dad. I am extremely proud of her progress here. I am also happy to hear that she is continuing to do well at home. This girl’s confidence will continue to grow with her parents strong leadership! Good girl Rox! I’m so very happy that you have a happy forever home now!
