I have some free time after this week . I know 2 huge toy makers who stopped making toys over the past month and decided to do a toy order so you have access to natural toys .
If you are interested in a toy order please let me know via message or comment below and the species you need toys for , I also have a ton of huge pine cones . Shipping costs will be by weight once your order is complete however all orders will be paid upfront as usual . I no longer accept paypal unless you send it as a gift . I do this as a HOBBY and to provide affordable, natural , healthy toys to your parrots . I never use cotton rope or fabrics and very few plastic parts . All metal is stainless steel. All materials are parrot safe and encourage natural parrot instinctual behaviors.

Let's talk Lotus ...
Lotus is not a she , Lotus is a he !!! 🤣
Lotus has an approved adopter completing her visits and getting ready to take him home!!!!!

Lotus has started to allow head scritches from females ! He remains a laid back Too but is coming out of his shell and has an incredible personality .

We are so excited for him to continue to build trust with a human that adores him once again !!!

For once you get to see me work with a parrot instead of Jonah ...go me !!

I have been sick for what seems like months , actually it was 3 weeks then fine for a week and a half then sick again, just starting to feel human . I have several messages to respond to so give me time.

Update on Spicey the only Parrot from the fostered 5 considered not adoptable due to his extreme trust issues. He is making huge strides , I did his beak and nails today , he has gained considerable weight finally, now he just needs a massive moult of his flight feathers , they were all broken and tattered from getting them stuck in between the bars of the dog kennel he and Wasabi lived in .

Trust wise he has gone from being terrified and biting and screaming to stepping up on a stick to stepping up onto Jonahs arm and my arm , he also allows head scritches. The noise he is making is letting us know he is afraid , it is less intense than when he first arrived and he does eventually stop.

We are very proud of him and his brave steps towards trusting , Spicey will remain a part of our flock 🥰

I am once again out of town for a couple of days with my sick granddaughter , however Jonah handed Raider off to his his new adoptive home Jessica of The Foy Flock was approved for his adoption. We are thrilled he is going to be loved and cherished pet and part of thair family. ❤️

We are still looking for the perfect home for Lotus the Umbrella cockatoo !!! Spicey the Scarlett Macaw will continue to rehab with us for awhile as he has alot of Trauma he is working through .

Trees, people requested to see the trees we make .... mine are currently empty but fully loaded with toys they are awesome 😉

Why don't we use Java trees?
1. Java trees are too slick and hard , they are proven to cause early arthritis in your parrots feet and do not encourage natural behaviors.

2. Many people put vet wrap on them to prevent falling , well great vet wrap is not natural , nor does it increase or encourage natural behaviors. I stick to vet wrap on pvc playgyms .

3. Java trees have zero over head branches , all the toys on any tree hang down and become covered in p**p and your parrots natural behavior is not to cling to the trunk and forage ( play) .

Did I mention they have proven to be a major cause of early arthritis in your parrots feet , yeah thats enough for me so we made our own trees that are exactly what your parrot would use in the wild and encourage their natural instincts 😉

Lotus the Umbrella Cockatoo is ready for adoption🩷

Lotus has an open leg band which means she was a wild caught Cockatoo which puts her somewhere in her 30's . She is in excellent health and can live well into her 60's.

Lotus is part of the fostered 5 from the hoarding seizure in North Carolina .

Lotus is an unusual Cockatoo as she is reserved and quiet. She does a flock call every morning and night for about 5 minutes and that's it . She loves music and will dance to a variety of songs.

Lotus prefers to play on and around her cage and play tree , she does not step up and at this stage does not want to even be a part of stepping up. She does shower well and is a great girl to groom her beak and nails. I expect she will eventually come around to stepping up as she is not afraid of people and loves to take treats from anyone .

She is food motivated and loves to crack walnuts and almonds.

Lotus will require a large cage , the one she is in can go with her for an additional fee, and she will require a bird tree either made by her new owner or by us before going home.

Her process involves an application , a phone interview 4 visits of at least an hour .

You will be asked many questions about cockatoos and how you plan on integrating her into your home. Cockatoos are very different from any other parrot species , they do NOT do well if they are kept caged up daily with little interaction they are highly emotional parrots and require A TON of interaction. ( actually you shouldn't even own any parrot if your going to lock it in a cage all day everyday)

They are also the dustiest of the Parrots we can give you advice on what air purification to use to keep the dust way down and daily misting .

If you have allergies or asthma....don't get a cockatoo

If you don't want to interact for several hours a a day with a parrot, don't get a cockatoo.

If you are afraid of large parrots don't get a cockatoo.

If you can't tolerate noise dont get a cockatoo.

If you can't afford to replace toys at least weekly don't get a cockatoo.

Cockatoos are incredible parrots however due to their uniqueness, highly emotional personalities and high intelligence they are the #1 most surrendered parrot in the world.

Someone with the ability to provide her some outdoor space is also a plus as she loves to hang around outside when it's nice.
