We are incredibly thankful to our generous donors we are well on our way to becoming able to apply for our 501c3 status !!!.

We were hoping to hit our goal by February to send in our application but if we keep the momentum going we could hit our goal before then.

Obtaining our not for profit status also allows local teens and college students community service hours by helping out with the parrots! Huge win for them and the parrots alike!!

Jonah and I thank you for your kind words . I forgot how many people have passed through our doors and knew Jacob . It means the world to us ❤️. We are honored to have given Jacob the best 2 years of his life with no more neglect or abuse .

Please dont give your parrots to petstores , reach out to rescues like us , yes you have to surrender the parrot , no rescue pays for a parrot, if you knew how much we have to financially invest in each surrender , vet checks, health testing , new cages , appropriate diets , correct enrichment.

Please also know your species, know the correct diet . Jacob had atherosclerosis due to being fed a high fat diet and being cage bound until he came in to rescue.

Our sweet Jacob passed away peacefully in his sleep at 2:10 am this morning . Jonah and I were at his side .

Fly free sweet boy , we love you and you will always be in our hearts 💕

Please give me a few days to get myself back together , Jonah and Jacob had a very special bond and I need to help my son navigate this journey ❤️

Please say prayers , send thoughts...whatever you do for our sweet Jacob and my son Jonah . Like so many Grey's in captivity Jacob started life with a garbage diet and was kept in a cage and passed around from home to home . He's only 10 and came to us 2 years ago . He's got vascular issues and has started having seizures he had so many seizures today it was gut wrenching , he is now on a seizure med and has been sedated but hes also showing signs of stroke but is too weak fir any testing. He is refusing all food and water so I have to crop feed him. The next 24 hours are crucial to determine if he is going to make it . My son is devastated and is sitting with Jacob every minute. Jacob connected with Jonah despite his years of neglect and not trusting humans. Please have both of them in your thoughts as we navigate this journey . 💔

Enjoy a video of Beaufort our 36 year old, Blue & Gold Macaw. He was surrendered after his owner of 35 years passed away , he came from an awesome home. Despite being blind in one eye, atrophied wings and arthritis in both feet , he is very animated and a jokester 🥰
