No indoor arena, no problem! Here are some cold-weather exercises you can do in the aisle your barn, *flexing with a halter and bridle
*yielding the hindquarters
*backing (there are several different ways)
*ground tying
*saddling and bridling *desensitization using logs, tarps balls, Get Creative!
*cones for showmanship
* practice tying while cleaning your stall!

Winter Barn hacks!
I don’t usually need hot water in the barn often but when I do it’s nice to have!
I love my little instant hot kettle!
Set your temperature and you’ll have hot water in 5 minutes!
Some of the reasons you would need hot water…
Defrosting (water, hose, faucets)
Wound cleaning
Soaking hay pellets
Washing tails
Cleaning buckets, tack etc
Warming bits
Hot toweling
Did someone say HOT CHOCOLATE!!
