We had the best time during Staff Appreciation Week! Not only did we get to celebrate everyone and eat some good food all week, but we had different themes every day - crazy sock day, twin day, crazy scrubs day, field day, and animal day. It was a blast and we are so thankful to have such an awesome team!

Today is the last day of Staff Appreciation Week and we’re recognizing our wonderful Groomer Emma!

Emma was already a fantastic groomer when she first started here at Big Lick, but she has just honed her craft more and more over the years and we're all impressed when we see a freshly groomed dog walk out of her grooming room! She is very passionate about grooming and you can rest assured that your pets are in good hands and receiving the best when they're with Emma.

She attended Groom Expo in PA this year, taking courses, getting certifications, and learning! She is always looking for ways she can improve the grooming experience for her clients and the pets she grooms. She will tailor each groom to fit the needs of the pet and their family and is incredibly thorough. She has developed great relationships with her clients and their pets and really values those connections.

It’s Staff Appreciation Week and today’s shout out goes to our amazing Client Service Representatives Lyndsey and Kenna!

They are master multi-taskers who are constantly being pulled in a million and one directions yet they never fail to get it all done. Every time another team member covers a shift at the front desk for a day, we walk away feeling like we just made it through a tornado! But these two do all that and more every single day. They’re the backbone of our communication system and the facilitators of our day - ensuring a smooth flow for the rest of the team, our clients, and our patients. They work so hard to make the client and patient experience special and as you can see from this sneak peak picture from Twin Day, they’re so funny and full of spirit!

Thank you Lyndsey and Kenna for all your hard work and all the things you do every day, from big to small. You play such a crucial role in the client and patient experience and we’d be lost without you! Thank you so much!

It’s Staff Appreciation week and today we’re spotlighting our fantastic team of Vet Assistants: Sheri, Cheryl, Amber, Emily, Kelsey, and Leeanne.

Our Vet Assistants work incredibly hard and do a job that can be very taxing both mentally and physically. Despite that, they come in every day dedicated to caring for our patients and in extension, our clients. They are involved in every step of the patient visit from start to finish - obtaining a history, relaying information to the doctor, discussing the doctor’s recommendations, handling the patient, assisting in performing diagnostics or completing treatments, filling prescriptions, discharging the patient, and so much more! They play such a crucial role in the day to day function of our hospital and the client and patient experience.

Thank you to our Vet Assistants for all of your hard work. You have huge hearts and you make a difference in the lives of people and their pets every day! We truly couldn’t do it without you ! 🐾

We are so lucky to have each and every one of our doctors on our team! They've dedicated their careers to helping people and their pets and we see them do that each and every day. They treat the staff, clients, and patients with a genuine kindness and compassion that embodies their passion for veterinary medicine. They're all incredibly skilled veterinarians, but they also know how to have fun and enjoy each day.

It’s Staff Appreciation Week and today we want to highlight our incredible team of current and soon-to-be Licensed Vet Techs! Melody, Jess, and Heather are all graduates of BRCC’s Veterinary Technology program and passed the VTNE (Veterinary Technician National Exam). Each year, they complete a minimum of eight hours of continuing education courses to maintain their licensure. Jacob is currently in his second year of school and is set to do the same when he graduates in 2027.

Our LVTs play such a pivotal role in the day to day flow at Big Lick and they do so much more than most people know! A few of their many job duties include: drawing blood, placing IV catheters, cytologies, monitoring anesthesia, caring for patients, performing dental scaling and polishing, taking dental x-rays, but there is SO much more. They all made the choice to dedicate their careers to caring for animals and their people and they’re all so passionate about what they do. They work wonderfully alongside our vets and other staff, being a huge piece of the puzzle that makes up Big Lick! Vet. On top of being absolute aces at their job, they’re all stellar human beings who are so fun to work alongside.

We’re so thankful to have these four incredibly talented and compassionate Vet Techs on our team and are so appreciative of everything they do! You can rest assured that when your pets are in their care, they’re in the absolute BEST hands.
