We have made the decision to not offer Playcare tomorrow, Monday, January 6. The roads are just too slick and we don’t want anyone in danger, including staff or customers. We will have staff to care for boarding dogs and to be there for any check-outs. We will not charge the extra night tomorrow for anyone who feels it is unsafe to drive to pick up your pup. Stay safe!

We are keeping a close eye on the weather and as conditions deteriorate, we may choose not to open for playcare on Monday. We will, of course, be staffed to care for our overnight boarding dogs. Please check here for updates.

Once again, for Christmas this year, City Dogs will be giving each of our overnight guests a special dessert. We're making doggie ice cream with yogurt, peanut butter, bananas, and blueberries. We'll fill these tiny cones, freeze them and surprise them with their Christmas dinner.
Since we've had a few requests for these during the year, we'll also start offering these cones for purchase to our regular boarders after the new year.

Sweet Chloe had a rough start to her short life. Through no fault of her own, her temperament made it difficult to find a perfect, forever home. She lived with us, here at City Dogs, off and on for the past 6 years, learning to put trust in the people who cared for her. Our City Dogs family loved Chloe and her good morning barks and wags let everyone know she was ready for breakfast and belly rubs. Sadly, Chloe was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. She crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday, surrounded by the people she loved the most. She will be missed.

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday here at City Dogs! Thank you to all of you who allowed us to care for and play with your pups over the last few days. We LOVE what we do!

It’s that time of year!
In the same way that humans have seasons for flus and coughs, so do dogs. Typically, anytime the weather changes from colder to warm or warmer to cold, respiratory viruses rear their ugly head. Being in close quarters with other dogs can exacerbate the spread, so please make sure, before bringing your dog to playcare or to board that they are up-to-date on their respiratory virus vaccines, such as canine flu and canine cough. (bordetella) We continually disinfect throughout the day with non-toxic products that eliminate bacteria and viruses on surfaces; however, because all respiratory viruses are airborne, there is the possibility that your dog could contract a cough when exposed. lf your dog develops a cough, please keep them at home and contact your vet for their recommendations for treatment.
