‼️ PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUCEMENT ‼️
🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

We have received multiple messages and calls in regard to people calling lost pet ads and saying we have their pet (caller is stating they are from CPHS.)

These scammers are stating the pet was found, brought into CPHS, and was injured. The scammer is then stating the found pet is in need of emergency surgery with a request to pay for this surgery over PayPal. This is not how we operate. Please if you’re missing a pet; do not fall for this. First, we would never request payment via PayPal. Secondly, we would have the owner come to the shelter to verify a found pet is yours!

We do not service the public for veterinary care and a pet needing emergency surgery with a said owner would be referred to an emergency veterinary office.

It’s truly a shame we have to even address this, but unfortunately scams are all around us now.

We are looking for a veterinary technician or assistant to join our team. The position is full time although part time will be considered. Expected work hours are M,T,Th,F 10 or 11 am to close (which varies, although appointments end at 6 pm). The ideal candidate will also be able to work some Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
In this position you will be taking patient histories, administering vaccines, performing phlebotomy, running laboratory testing, assisting with procedures such as a**l gland expressions, toe nail trims, euthanasias, and surgeries, cleaning, and much more. Experience in these areas and animal restraint skills are strongly desired and a good sense of humor is appeciated. Pay is dependent upon experience.
