First of all, a huge thankyou to HORICON MARSH HRC for putting on an incredible test.

Gun Dog Success passed 42 of 42 tests this weekend.

Unfortunately we experienced a veterinary emergency. Without the help and cooperation of their entire club, we would not have been able to facilitate the proper care needed for our dog in need. He is in much better shape and heading home now to have follow up treatment.

We cannot thank everyone enough. Each time we run an HRC Event we are again reminded that the world is full of great people.

Job Expectations
- Throw dog training bumpers or birds
- Drive an UTV/ATV
- Setup training scenarios under the lead trainers direction
- Must be physically active and capable of performing manual labor
-Must be willing and capable of working outdoors in the elements
- Must be comfortable around live fi****ms
- Must be comfortable handling and being around dogs and must be able to lift 50lbs (lifting dogs into the truck topper)

Gun Dog Success had a great weekend at Kankakee River HRC. We left with a 100% pass rate in finished and seasoned. They set a great series of tests on land and water at some fantastic grounds.

Congratulations to Ivy Pufhal for obtaining her hunting retriever champion title as well as Denali on her hunting retriever title.

This weekend we also stepped into a different game. We split off and ran an AKC master test at the Wisconsin Amauter Field Trial Club at Horicon Wisconsin. We also left this platform with a 100% pass rate on a tough series of tests.

Ask questions. Educate yourself on pedigrees. Seek help from someone with experience. And most importantly, enjoy the ride. It’s not a race to get to the next level. Build your dog at their pace and keep their rate of SUCCESS high.

Daisy began training through sessions a few months ago with the hopes of overcoming her gun sensitivity - quite an undertaking. She has been enrolled in our formal program for 1 month and, as you can see, proper communication, confidence, and birds are brining her success. The Start

Raised by a veterinarian in a hunting family with multiple hunting dogs, Dan Ihrke’s exposure to animal science started early. He has been training flushing, retrieving, and pointing dogs at Green Acres Sportsman’s Club for 22 years, and has trained and bred many field and hunt test champions of multiple breeds.

In his first 10 years as a professional trainer, Dan developed a unique dog training program through applying his scientific background while training dogs. This program, affectionately and appropriatly named Gundog Success, focuses on using the dogs own instinct as positive reinforcement for the correct behavior. Each dog is evaulated as an individual and training is customized for the dogs unique personality.

The next 5 years were focused on educating multiple trainers that could consistently reproduce this training process. Only passionate, hardworking, intelligent individuals that have a true love for dog training receive the honor of being a Gundog Success trainer.

Gundog Success, takes on the challenge of training any breed of hunting dog, and many non-hunting domestic breed bringing each dog to their maximum potential.
