Today, we celebrated the incredible efforts of our staff at Abel Vet. These remarkable women went above and beyond to bring my dream to life. From organizing to crafting, cleaning to lifting, and laughing to sweating, they put their hearts into every detail. Our Open House/Grand Opening was a resounding success, leaving me with sore cheeks from smiling so much! I am forever grateful for this exceptional team!

What’s that swimming on the slide?

Update: ear mites!! These very itchy microscopic pests can cause a lot of irritation to the ears which can lead to infection. Did you know they don’t bite the animals but actually feed on the wax and oils in the ear? Often people mistake ear infections for ear mites or vise versa so it’s best to have your veterinarian confirm what’s in there! Can you guess what parasite is swimming around under the microscope?

We have had some great advice posts lately about flea prevention and dental health! We want to post some follow up videos of some dogs needing some help: First video: young adult not current on flea prevention. This sweet itchy fella was tested for heartworms (negative) and started on Simparica Trio. Simparica Trio is a monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention that also covers hookworms and roundworms. Call to ask about all of our prevention options.
