Jake is a golden retriever that was rescued from Istanbul in 2016. From the start he had issues with vomiting and diarrhea every few weeks. He would have a flareup, then it would resolve only to have it reoccur a few weeks later.
Each year for 4 years, the vet ran tests and things always came back perfect. In 2020 he experienced a severe bout of both and nothing seemed to stop it.
A new vet in AZ suggested this could be food allergies. The ultrasound showed nothing, so we moved ahead with the assumption it was food allergies and started to feed commercial hydrolyzed dog food. The bouts of vomiting and diarrhea stopped, but over time he seemed to become very lethargic.

Dr. Christine was recommended by my local acupuncture vet and we set out to determine if it was food allergies and if so, what they were. The saliva test came back with surprising results. Jake was allergic to pretty much everything.

Dr. Christine worked to formulate recipes that would provide Jake a fully balanced diet. This was no small feat given the only protein he was not allergic to was eggs, rabbit and salmon. Jake loved the food and his energy returned. I’m sold on fresh and healthy food after seeing the results with Jake. I am so happy I found Dr. Christine and wish I had done this years ago!

Cooper, who turns 12 yrs old in August, came to VIPsvet in December 2023. He was overweight and lame up front.

Dr. Christine encouraged Cooper’s owner to start on FRESH 🥩🥦food for weight loss and better health.

Cooper also has received monthly chiropractic, acupuncture and Magna Wave therapies.

So exciting to see Cooper mobile, healthy and happy.😃 🐶

We met sweet Sandy yesterday.
Sandy had lost control of both hind legs and her bladder. She was diagnosed with a ruptured disc in her thoracic vertebrae.

She had regained use of one leg and still not peeing on her own.

Sandy was treated with chiropractic, acupuncture and Magna Wave.

We received the following text from her owner an hour later.

🥩🥦LET FOOD be THY MEDICINE!!🐟🐌 Celebrating Aiko's shining black nose! When I met Aiko a few months ago, over 50% of her nose was dry, cracked, and gray, which can be a result of Zinc deficiency. Aiko's owners started to give a few freeze dried liver treats daily, and wow the transformation!! 95% of her nose is healthy and shiny! 🎊

Tuesday Tip! The Benefits of Magnesium! Not to be confused with the other trace mineral Manganese (Mn), Magnesium (Mg) is an important mineral for multiple body systems and biochemical reactions in our dogs.

Sources of magnesium come from foods: organ meat, bone meal, beans, pumpkin, squash, leafy greens, and fish. Can you give a dog too much magnesium? Not really...if they are healthy. A healthy dog's kidneys will filter excess magnesium to excrete in their urine. However, dogs with kidney disease should not be given excess magnesium.

Know your dog and know their bowl! Empower yourself to give your furry friend their best possible diet. DM me for more info about feeding for health and longevity—it doesn't have to be complicated!

We are so excited for the progress Ryder has made! Ryder suffered a ruptured disc and had back surgery the summer of 2023. His mom, Mary, has been diligently dedicated to Ryder's recovery. Mary purchased a pool for swim therapy, put Ryder on a diet (resulting in a loss of 20 pounds!). She consistently brings Ryder every 2 weeks for chiropractic, acupuncture and Magna Wave treatments. As Ryder has regained strength, he now has a set of Walkin' Wheels for support and strengthening. His hind legs continue to improve in mobility. Mary says "I think he is amazing. He is still so happy and I am inspired by his will and resilience every day." Mary, we think your both amazing and we are glad to be a part of Ryder's story!
