Hello folks.
I've been agonizing over this decision for the last couple weeks. When gasoline hits $5 per gallon (and we all know it will) I'm going to have to implement a by the mile fuel charge that will increase or decrease as fuel prices change. If I have several people booked in the same area (and I will try hard to) I will devide the cost between everyone. I unfortunately can't continue to absorb the increases or I will put myself out of business. I'm sorry about the impact this is having on everyone. God bless.

Just wanted to let everyone know. I currently have little to no cell phone service at my house. They are fighting a fire a few streets away from my place right now and I don't know if that is the reason for the cellular service loss right now or not. I'll return calls and texts as soon as I get service again.

Hello folks. Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Just haven't had anything to share. I am still doing horses. I've been back to work after surgery for about 11 months.
Unfortunately with the rising prices I'm going to have to increase my prices. My last price increase was 6 years ago. Needless to say things are not the same price as 6 years ago. I unfortunately can not continue to absorb the cost increases. I wil be talking to each of my clients in person to discuss the increase. I understand that this will be difficult on everyone and I'm sorry for that. But to be able to continue to serve everyone I need to do this. Hello. I had a appointment yesterday about my shoulder. Doctor says it may be 6 more weeks before my shoulder is healed enough to go back to work. She said I can start as soon as tomorrow if I feel like it (I can't damage anything). But since I can't pick up 5 pounds without wanting to scream. She said I should take more time. I'm going to take 2 more weeks then start trying to do 1-2 horses a day. Depending on how that goes is to how soon I'll be back to full work. I'm sorry for all the inconvenience this surgery has caused. I really wish I was healed and able to take care of everyone again. Thank y'all for your patience and understanding. God Bless.

Hello everyone. I had my surgery follow up appointment today. Doctor says everything is looking good. I'm supposed to start physical therapy right away. Hope to be back to work in a month. Thank y'all for all the prayers and well wishes. Y'all are much appreciated. God bless.

Howdy folks. I know I haven't been around for a while and I'm sorry for that. It's been crazy around here for quite a while now. Unfortunately my shoulder has gotten worse and I'm going to have to have surgery. Currently it will be scheduled for sometime the week of January 11th. I won't know an exact date until after the 1st of the year. I will be unable to work for 6 weeks after the surgery. If you'd like your horses done before my surgery please let me know and I'll do my best to get you scheduled. Currently I'm only working on current clients horses. I'm not accepting new clients until after the surgery. I appreciate everyone's patience and understand during this time.

Hello folks. Sorry I haven't been around for a bit. Lost access to my page for a while. For those who have asked. I ended up wanting a second opinion on my shoulder. Well I got one today. Unfortunately it's the same outcome as my previous doctor told me. My shoulder is permanently damaged. There is no fixing it. Only controlling the pain from it. As long as I take care of it and don't overdo it, I'll have a nice long career. Thank you everyone for your prayers. I'm going to slowly increase my work load over the next 2-3 months until I find a nice happy medium. God bless!

May you all be surrounded by those you hold most dear. Be sure to take a moment and say thanks for all you have and remember the real meaning of Christmas. I'm blessed to have so much support and well wishes from y'all during this difficult year. From my brothers major accident to my accident it's been quite a year. But I'm very thankful to still be here with all of you. Hopefully I'll be healed up and back to helping all your fur-babies very soon.

Hello folks, just wanted to update y'all. I saw the specialist today for my 6 week follow up. Unfortunately the physical therapy hasn't helped me any yet. I received 2 steroid shots in my shoulder. They are hoping they will help calm down the severe tendinitis and help me to heal. They want me to continue to take it very easy and be very careful. After 2 weeks they may send me back to physical therapy. If this doesn't work I'm looking at the possibility of surgery in the future.

Okay folks. Finally heard from the orthopedic specialist. Good news/bad news. Good news is at this point in time I don't need surgery (subject to change in follow up in 6 weeks). Bad news I'm on severe restrictions with my shoulder for the next 6 weeks. No lifting, reaching or strenuous activity. So besides certain special needs cases I'm not supposed to touch a hoof for the next 6 weeks. Please notice how I said supposed to. There will be times I will be doing a few horses but I'm going to have to cut back drastically for a while. In the meantime I'll be doing physical therapy. Hopefully I'll get released in 6 weeks. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience caused to any of you.

Edit: Radiology place messed up appointment. Had me set up for an MRI not an Arthrogram. New appointment is on the 15th. Ugh.

Sorry I haven't given an update lately. My doctor looked at my mri and says he needs a different mri called an Arthrogram done to see the extent of the damage in my shoulder. Appointment for that is scheduled for this Wednesday morning. Hopefully I'll have more answers afterwards.

Hello folks, quick update
I finally saw an orthopedic specialist today. At this point I can't share a whole lot other then the doctor is mildly concerned. There was a mix up and they don't have the images from my mri. They should have them in the next day or so. There is a possibility that I will need a different mri with contrast depending on what he sees or doesn't see as the case maybe. From his examination of my shoulder today and my symptoms it is possible that I will need surgery. At this point the only instructions I have from the doctor is to take it as easy as possible and to be very careful. Please understand if I say I can't do a horse there is a good reason for it. Hello folks, just a quick update. Some of y'all are aware but for those of you who aren't. I finally had a mri done on my shoulder as it hasn't been getting better. It turns out I have inflamed tendons as well as a partially torn tendon. I'm being referred to a orthopedic specialist for further evaluation. I'm still on restricted duty until further notice. Hopefully after I see the specialist I'll have more information and be able to get back to full workload shortly. Thanks everyone for your prayers and support. I appreciate all of you. God bless.

Hello folks, some of you are already aware but for those of you who aren't, I did sustain a injury to my shoulder in the accident. Unfortunately it hasn't been getting better as I had hoped. My last Dr appointment on Wednesday did not go as well as I had hoped. I have tendon and muscle damage in it. Minimum of 6-8 week recovery and that's only if I do basically nothing with it for that time. I'm not going to stop working but I am going to have to slow down especially on how many horses l do a day. I know it is going to be rough for a while but I will still continue to provide the best possible for your fur-babies. If anyone feels the need to find someone else due to the fact I may not be able to get to your horses as fast as usual, I understand and I will wish you nothing but the best. I am going to continue to work but I will be working at a much slower pace and I ask for your patience while I work. Thank you everyone and God Bless.

Just got word this afternoon they totalled my Tahoe out. 😢. My poor girl served me well. I really wanted her to reach 500k miles. But unfortunately I only made 349k before she was hit.

My poor baby. My Mom and I are shaken up and a bit sore (will see how we are tomorrow) but otherwise currently okay. I'm going to do my best to keep my schedules but with my Tahoe out of commission for an unknown amount of time I'll be having to use my husband's truck or folks truck until my other truck or the Tahoe is fixed. Update my brother has been released. We are very thankful to have him home. Thank you to everyone for your prayers and well wishes. Due to the severity of his injuries he can't be left alone. Because of that my schedule will be sporadic as I will be helping to watch him. Thank you everyone for your understanding.

Update on my brother...they just moved him to a room and are already talking about letting him go home. He is improving rapidly and all tests are coming back good. Brain swelling is down...all broken bones are stabilized... Thanks so much for your prayers and support. We love and appreciate all of you.

Here's an update on my brother. They say the brain bleed is stopping and swelling is going down. He's been upgraded to serious but stable. They are looking at moving him out of the trauma icu. He's a little more coherent today but still has a lot of injuries they are concerned about. Thanks for the prayers and support.

It's official. I will be attending the AFA Convention in March. I'll be leaving the 4th and returning sometime the 10th.
