*Avian/Bird Flu* To this point, mainly wild birds and dairy cattle have been affected. This virus is transmitted through infected RAW meat and RAW milk of affected animals. Two human cases in Michigan involving dairy farm employees in contact with RAW milk were reported earlier this year. There are now confirmed reports of domestic (indoor) cats dying of avian/bird flu due to exposure of infected RAW products. Northwest Naturals, a company that sells frozen raw pet food has recalled their 2lb. Feline Turkey Recipe. IF you or someone you know is feeding RAW turkey, chicken, duck, game bird or raw cattle milk to their cat(s), STOP. There have been no reports of dogs being affected at this time. We'll keep you posted but as always, please reach out with questions/concerns.

There's nothing like your pup coming inside at bedtime smelling like a skunk. A few things to remember: 1) The spray is actually an oil, do NOT immediately rinse your pup, you will spread the oil along his/her coat 2) Grab some gloves and blot the oil with paper towel 3) Apply Skunk Off or the homemade recipe mentioned below 4) Allow to sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing with water 5) Repeat 2-3 times and only bathe the affected areas 6) Prepare your kit now with the hopes you won't need it! 7) Skunks are carriers of Rabies and Distemper, ensure your pets are vaccinated and be weary of skunks that are not running away from you or your pets
