Some very casual feeding time pictures of "the chosen one" V9, now named Moon Pie. She (hopefully actually a she) and Oblivion are my two keepers out of the 10 Vortex x Void kids I got in the 2022 season. She's exactly what I was hoping to get out of the pairing: Dad's beautiful pattern and improved structure, and more of mom's cream pattern and darker base!

Fun fact about Underwoodsaurus milii, they don't eat their shed like most geckos. Instead, they will scatter it around their humid hide like a teenager scatters their dirty laundry.

Oh Scamp... what am I going to do with this little menace? On one hand, love his base color, spots (hard to see but he has red and oil spots too!)... but don't love his structure or the fact he's nearly impossible to handle. He's a jumper AND a runner at all times. The kind of gecko that'll jump out when you're just trying to change a food bowl, run at full speed to the other side of the room and vanish for an hour. Such a pain! These pictures were not easy to get! 😂

Hoping to put him with Pongo and get his wonderful spots and her much better structure on some bright red babies. Fingers crossed... and fingers crossed the babies are a bit more calm. 😅
