The clinic is off to a great start today. If anyone wants to join us for the sale of the de-spooking obstacles, we have several for sale today. Come on by at 2pm to put in your silent auction bids!

-Upright car wash with pool noodles

Here is some information about Sunday’s DeSpooking clinic.
The location is Scatter Creek Stables
Located at 4945 165th Lane SW
Rochester, Wa 98579
Please drive slow on the roads into the facility. 15mph limit.
Please start arriving at 9am for registration.
9:30 is the orientation
10am clinic starts
Please have you horse in a rope halter, saddled if you plan to ride later in the clinic.
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED
Dress for the weather as waiting time is outside. Clinic is indoors.
Please remember a water bucket for your horses, stall fork to clean up around your trailer.
Bring a lunch and something to drink.

Thank you for so much support as things have been changing quickly for us at Tom Reed Horsemanship.

My love, Kathleen and I got married at a beautiful ceremony on the side of Mt St Helens, and then enjoyed a quiet cabin in the snow in Fairbanks, Alaska for our honeymoon.

We are excited to spend the first half of 2024 with all of you in the Pacific Northwest, and to spend the second half with new friends in New England at our farm in Maine.

Some of you have asked for wedding and snow photos so we will post a few here for everyone to enjoy. We appreciate all of your trust and friendship (and hope you will bring me some horses for training before we leave so I can stay busy!) Have a great week!

LAST CHANCE IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST!

In case you are planning to join us in the near future for a clinic, you may want to join even sooner. We have two more Tom Reed Horsemanship clinics scheduled for the Pacific Northwest before we move to New England next summer.

We will still offer lessons, boarding, and training opportunities through Spring, but if you are hoping to join us for De-spooking or Trail Course clinics, this is your chance!

These clinics are discounted to thank everyone for years of your support and we hope to see all our friends and new horse owners too.

There will be a liquidation sale after the De-spooking clinic, where we will be selling some of the obstacles for you to take home with you. Clinic attendees will have first dibs on the choices during the clinic before the sale starts at 2:30pm.

At Sweet Tomatoes Learning Center, parents know what projects we've been working on and can extend those topics and ideas at home too. Here are some of the cool things we did last week with our primary-grades students, for example! (Our older students do extensions from some of these topics but include access to higher-level learning options like our 3rd grader is working on Hands-on Equations algebra, reading chapter books, and researching topics throughout the session.)

It was a wild and crazy morning but the Tom Reed Horsemanship Rain or Shine Clinic ended up a great (& even mostly dry!) event today. Thanks to everyone who attended and all of our sponsors and friends who make these events possible.

We hope to see everyone on Nov. 19 at the next Tom Reed Horsemanship (despooking) clinic…. Just days after we return from our honeymoon!! (6 more days, y’all!)

Watch for my sign on the street where you turn in. It’s a left hand turn right after the house and before the white vinyl fence.

Rope halters, 10-12ft lead rope, leg protection for your horse.
ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR HELMETS AND A BOOT WITH A HEEL.

Arrive between 9- 9:30 for registration.
Clinic starts at 9:30 and ends at Noon.
Pack a lunch.
Bring a water bucket for your horse and a stall fork to clean up around your trailer.

A great certification workshop for the Thurston County Equine Outreach (TCEO) last weekend. Thank you to Scatter Creek Stables for donating the arena and to Karen Daniels for organizing the event with Tom Reed Horsemanship and all the participants who are working to certify so they can help evacuate horses in our community!
