The GEC exists to create a paradigm shift in public perception of insects and propel entomological research forward using insects and arachnids to foster unity and progress within our global community.
We are a collaborative network comprising entomologists (amateur and professional), researchers, educators, artists, philanthropists, policymakers, and enthusiasts from around the world. The GEC serves as a unified platform for fostering cooperation, sharing knowledge, and driving progress in the field of entomology.
At the core of the GEC’s objectives is the promotion of research that addresses critical issues related to insect biodiversity, ecology, behavior, and physiology. By facilitating communication and collaboration among experts across various disciplines, the coalition aims to accelerate scientific discoveries and develop effective strategies for insect conservation and discovery.
The coalition actively engages with governments, non-governmental organizations, industries, and local communities to advocate for evidence-based policies and practices that support insect conservation efforts and change the global attitudes toward insects to help turn their negative reputation around.
It all starts with education and outreach. We provide resources, training programs, educational initiatives, and open research expeditions to the public to inspire and foster appreciation for the incredibly important behaviors, adaptations, and environmental roles insects play in maintaining global ecological balance.

Just want all my clients to know that I will be implementing a 3.6% fee on credit card transactions beginning in January. I’ve been taking care of the fees myself until now, but boy oh boy do they add up! 😝 If this is a problem please feel free to use cash or check (or Venmo) in the future. Drumroll please……everyone, meet Uncle Jesse! Jace and I will be fostering this little cutie pie soon. He will be available for adoption to the right home, but until then he will he welcomed with open arms (and couch, and bed) into our family. 🥰 We’ve heard he is a super snuggler and can’t wait to find out for ourselves! Stay tuned for too many pics of him I’m sure as he gets settled in and we all learn eachother. 💜

What a transformation! Just when we thought our favorite little buddy Dax couldn’t get any cuter, he manages to pull off a poodle clip better than any purebred poodles I know. 😍 This clip shows off his personality perfectly! ❤️

Yogi got his first big boy haircut today! But he has been acting like a big boy since day 1. 🥰 Mom has done an excellent job with brushing him often at home. And he has been coming in every month. Makes for a wonderful puppy for grooming. And the best part is he loves it! What a lucky little man, and an even luckier groomer. 💜💜💜😊
