This little sweetie pie will be ready for a new home on 4/14 🥰 She will need to go to a home that already has an established colony, or can show proof that they have a friend for her soon after adoption. As always, my animals health and happiness always comes first and she will need a friend after leaving mom

🎉 I told you big things were coming‼️ Valerie's Hedgehogs is now officially SUGAR & SPIKES ROC 😍 Now offering adorable sugar gliders and tenrecs along with hedgehogs. We are also switching over to pedigreed hedgehog lines starting this spring!! We are still working with limited numbers while I wait for my USDA certification to come through and then will be expanding even more‼️ 🥰

LETS TALK TENRECS 👏
Although they look similar, Lesser Madagascar Tenrecs are not related to hedgehogs!
*Tenrecs can climb and hold onto items
*They live 10-14 years
*Primarily insectivores
*Not as temperature sensitive as hedgehogs
*Rarely ball up / huff - in return can be more mouthy
*Quills are shorter and more fine, feel "softer"
*Do not have any external genitalia - can make educated guesses on male/female based on facial features but require DNA testing to be certain
*Go into a hibernation called Torpor every winter
*Require sand baths
*Require smooth sided enclosure or 1/2" bar spacing because they are escape artists

I want to take a moment to let everyone know we have no more available hedgehog babies 🥰 🦔 I will consider adopting out retired adults for the right home. I will be very picky about who they go to! Must have experience with hedgehogs, feel free to message me with any questions. Stay tuned in the spring for new babies!!
