With Halloween a few days away, the Suburban Animal Team would like to give a few ideas regarding pumpkins. Pumpkins are a great source of fiber. Pumpkins can be used as compost OR as a treat for wildlife. For feeding wildlife: cut the pumpkin into pieces and scatter outside for the local critters ( deer, rabbits, foxes, squirrels). Seeds can be planted or used in a bird feeder.

For painted pumpkins, please scrub the paint off as paint can be toxic to animals!

Staff developement at its finest! Here at Suburban Animal Hospital, education is important not only to clients, but to our staff as well. Here you can see the staff practicing CPR on animal models to help fine-tune techniques and strengthen teamwork.

Congratulations to Dr. Levy for not only passing, but earning a 100% on the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care exam! This is a certification aimed towards shaping comfort-oriented care for the beloved furry companions as they approach the geriatric stage.
