Trimming your dog's nails doesn't have to be stressful! 🐾✂️

With a little patience and preparation, nail trimming can become quality time with your pup. Start early—massage and hold their paws days or even weeks before you clip. Add cuddles, treats, and lots of love to make it a positive experience.

When it's time to trim, keep treats handy. Start slow—1 or 2 nails at a time is just fine! Soon enough, you'll be able to do an entire paw, and eventually all four, without stress for either of you. 🐶💅

Consistency and positive vibes turn nail trimming into treat time and snuggle time!

To be clear, I am not anti medication. I know several dogs that have done very well with training and meds paired together.

Medication can help certain dogs when needed, but it shouldn't be the only answer.

I've recommended dogs on meds only when all other efforts have been tried first, and THEN we pair meds with more behavior training.

I am, however, anti tool shaming and doping dogs up instead of training them. I am anti "behaviorists" taking people's money for 6 months, and yet the dog still can not walk on a leash. I'm anti con artists who scam people into thinking their dog needs to be on behavior drugs 24/7 instead of training.

It's a shame that there are so-called behaviorists out there who use fear in order to shame people into thinking training tools such as prong collars are evil and cruel.

I will always advocate for using tools properly, including meds, but doping a dog up without training isn't a solution.
