McGee is about the cutest puppy ever. He went in for his exam yesterday. All checked out good and confirmed he’s adorable! He got his microchip, first vaccine and flea meds. He leaves for his foster this Friday! I’ll miss his cuteness but not the p**p 😅

Doggy drivers wanted! We have more transport opportunities coming up! We’d sure appreciate the help!

1/16 pick up 3 pups in Tacoma, 3pm bring back to Oakville (fluffs 🤍🤍🤍)

1/23 am Oakville to Kent, 2 hound dogs (large)
1/23 pm Kent to Oakville, 2 hound dogs (large)

Puppies should be crated, can provide crate but cannot leave at clinic. Hounds are big but very friendly and ride will in the car, just very excitable

Thank you Saturday helpers! First, Kim picked me up and drove us out to pick up the hounds. These girls have been living at this property, alone, for months. They were the final dogs to be rescued. I believe all the cats have been rescued as well or at least that is in the works. A huge THANK YOU to who has been doing all of this! Their shared post, a month after the original prompted me to find a way to help. While we were doing that, Cheryl and Joyce were handling the farm chores! Picking stalls, cleaning waters and more. After we settled the dogs in, I loaded hay for the very hungry cows. Joyce even brought some pumpkins! Thanks all! Another successful day!

Tadpole was very unhappy with the whole day so as promised, I’m inside with him today. Catching up on apps and emails!

I am available!
My name is Bourbon! :)
I was brought in as an owner surrender. I am a very sweet and affectionate boy, estimated to be around 3-4 years old. I am a mixed breed but was told I have some Boston Terrier and Border Collie in me somewhere. I am a medium sized boy with short legs and weigh close to 45lbs. I know some basic commands, I walk well on a leash, and I am crate trained. I am almost 100% potty trained, but I do have some accidents once and a while. I have not been around many other dogs before, but the dogs here at the shelter do not seem to bother me. I have done well with cats in the past, but I will need a slow introduction when meeting new friends. I do well with kids and would make a great family pet! I am not yet neutered, but I will have an appointment scheduled when I am adopted. I am already vaccinated and microchipped, now ready to meet my new loving family!

Even I cannot believe we are at a point where even a puppy like this would have no place to go. Please welcome this little nugget who also needs a name. He’s said to be 8.5 weeks but looks more like 7 if even that. He should be with his mom and siblings still. I made room last night though so here he is. Yes, a boy! Thankfully!

We are heading out on a rescue mission today so I’ll most likely not be replying much but I’ll catch up later. Wish us well ❤️‍🩹

Thank you again to helper helpers! Homemade soup, pizza, apple butter, chocolate and coffee! Also a very special gift I’ll share tomorrow. Chiko definitely thought something in the packages were for him. Just some of the kind gifts that keep me going. Thank you to the kind driver in front of me that paid for my drink and donated your change ❤️ Chiko appreciated his pup cup reward after getting shots and a nail trim.

Also a kind person that lost their dog recently, donated food to our vet who passed it on to us ❤️‍🩹

I just saw that it’s Friday. We haven’t done a $5 Friday in a while so here goes! I’m still here. I’m going through the motions. I post when I can. I do a lot of work outside. I try not to cry too much. But I still do, every day. I miss Holstein, I’m so sad for the state of the world, the fires in CA, the pet population problem, the injustice of it all. But, I go on. Tomorrow, we will close out a very sad situation, hopefully removing the last animals from the site. So much more once they are safe. You may have seen some shares and tags. Many cats and several dogs left alone. Ive made room to take the last two adult dogs. Please watch for updates and know I am doing what I can here. If you can help with a fiver, it would sure be appreciated ❤️‍🩹

Good Morning Everyone! What a face this fella has! He is a cross post for the kind folks at the Kitsap Humane Society. Let's help Weatherby leave the shelter!

Weatherby is a super sweet lab mix! This 13 year old boy was owner surrendered by his lifelong owner after they were no longer able to care for him. Weatherby is described as easy going. He has lived with cats and dogs.

Weatherby is on the chunky side, weighing 78 pounds. While he should lose a few pounds, the extra weight doesn't keep him from taking easy strolls, fetching his tennis balls and playing tug.

No doubt Weatherby is wondering what happened, why he lost his home! The kind folks at the shelter say he is easy to love. They were told he was used to sleeping on the couch. Weatherby is ready to leave the shelter and once again become a treasured part of the family for the rest of his days!
