We need everyone’s thoughts, prayers, and donations tonight.
We are currently at the emergency vet with one of our long term fosters, Mary.
Within the last few hours Mary has presented with some pretty severe symptoms including imbalance/falling over, dehydration, decreased to no appetite, and jaundice.
Mary has been with the rescue for almost four years and is beloved by her foster. We are in no way prepared to financially handle this emergency but will do everything we can for Mary.
Any donations - every $1 helps! - would be greatly appreciated.

*** DONATIONS NEEDED ***
We have a BIG ask... we need some help covering medical bills for Carter.
Carter came to our rescue over the weekend from Rochester Animal Services with an injury to his front right shoulder. He is unable to use that leg at all currently and is on pain meds from the shelter to manage the pain while we work on getting him into the vet.
He is going to need diagnostics which will include x-rays, this alone with be a huge expense. We really need support from the community to ensure we can cover the costs that will be involved with his care and getting him all better.
Donations can be made several ways :
PayPal : [email protected]
Credit Card : www.flowercitycrittersrescue.org
Venmo : @Kristina-Bosworth (-5226)
We will post updates and estimates as we get them this week.
Please share far and wide!

Luna eating
The outpouring of support has been wonderful and we have another update on Luna.
Luna's right kidney is failing. It is swollen and not passing urine properly. There could be scar tissue around the ureter, the kidney may need removing. She's had multiple xrays, labs, exams. Luna is young barely 9 months old. She deserves the chance at a long full life and a referral to Cornell Animal Hospital is the way to it. She'll need a CT to determine exactly what the problem is and what the next course of action should be.
For now she's finally eating again, medicated, and as you can see enjoying an oxbow cookie. We have her in a smaller enclosure just as she's sick with monitored hop around time.
We still have a big bill from our wonderful vet Cats & Critters and we're working to pay that down as donations come in.
Cornell will require payment in full. We're estimating to have $1,500 or $2,000 at the ready.
PLEASE donations can be made on our website www.flowercitycrittersrescue.org.
Also via PayPal to [email protected].
We all for these methods a Facebook donations take a month to come in.
Please, she deserves the chance!
Blinkin home
Blinkin is home from surgery! He is hopping around the temp set up we have him in. Once he's all healed up he'll be available for adoption!
Grayson medication
Grayson enjoyed his medicine this morning. He enjoyed some basil and we found him moving around his cage today. He groomed some and demanded pets from us.
A lot of improvement since his first day. He is dinking water, eating pellets and hay. 🐇
*Note this is a temporary setup for him to heal and be safe. We do not house rabbits in cages as it is not big enough nor do we adopt to homes who use cages.
