Our foster homes and the cat cafes we partner with are bursting with kitties patiently waiting for a forever home. We are at a standstill and cannot take on more until some of these kitties are adopted.

'Tis the season of giving! For the month of December, we will be collecting donations on behalf of Flower City Critters Small Animal Rescue & Flower City Kitties . There will be a bin in our lobby where you can drop off your donations. Update on Parker…

The good news -I spoke to his foster this morning and she reported that he seems to be feeling a bit better. He started eating and drinking a bit and hasn’t thrown up since his vet visit yesterday.

The bad news - I just got off the phone with the doctor and his bloodwork is not good. Very low white blood cell count, he’s anemic. His bone marrow not doing well. All of this is most likely due to feline leukemia.

We will be starting Parker on a broad spectrum antibiotic today in hopes that it helps but his prognosis is not good.

Parker is young. Estimated to be around one year old. We don’t know his story prior to two weeks ago but he is the friendliest cat. He loves to meet new people. He’s very outgoing. Not at all shy.

Feline leukemia is 100% preventable by keeping cats indoors and not introducing new cats without proper vetting including a combo test.

Our hope now is that Parker starts to feel better and stays well long enough to be spoiled in his foster home for a bit. He deserves that much.

📣📣CALL FOR HELP 📣📣

We had an unplanned expense today when little Ophelia had to go into urgent care. Ophelia was spayed on Tuesday and unfortunately sometimes cats don’t bounce right back, little Ophelia hasn’t been feeling well this week and mostly stopped eating.

Upon examination they believe she just is feeling yucky after her spay so they prescribed some meds to manage any nauseous and pain and any potential infection. Since Tuesday Ophelia went from 3.9 lbs down to 3.2 lbs.

The total bill for this one visit was $290.

We are desperate for help covering this.

On top of the $4,000+ we owe for basic spaying/neutering and vaccines we are drowning.

Bingo and her sister Bluey have been at The Friendly Feline Cat Cafe for a couple months now and have grown in to beautiful kitties, both girls are very shy but Bluey is finally coming out of her shell more and more. Bingo is much more nervous and shy still and finds the cafe overwhelming.

We’d love to keep these two girls together if possible and so we are offering them for adoption together for the price of one.

Their ideal home is quiet, no children or dogs, other cats are fine; and their adopter must be patient to allow these girls to settle in and gain confidence in their new home and new family.

Foster to adopt is an option as well.

Stop into The Friendly Feline Cat Cafe and meet our girl Dolly Purrton!

Dolly is aloof and independent but once she bonds with someone she makes a great companion. She gets along well with cats, has previously lived with a dog and does okay as long as they leave her alone. Dolly would not do well in a home with children, she’d prefer a quieter home.

Meet Ophelia & Otis!

This 5 month old brother-sister duo came to the rescue recently and have won over their foster mama. These two are the best cuddlers when they’re not getting into trouble and playing together.

Adoption fee is $300 for them together as a pair. They’ve been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, and microchipped.
