How do you know when your dog is owned by a dog groomer? 🤣
A quick update as to what's going on and how PawSnickety Grooming will be handling the upcoming months. As always, I seriously cherish and love you all....especially your furkids. All of your flexibility with me and my health is a true blessing....I am so grateful for all of you. I plan on continuing to groom your babies...I love them and y'all dearly ❤️ Just put up with me a bit longer....I swear....we are almost there 🙏
A quick update on my health for everyone...this looks like the last pothole in a very bumpy road thankfully. I love and appreciate you all ❤️
A quick update for everyone on my health challenges and maybe, finally, the last bump in the road for a while. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and truly love and appreciate every single one of you ❤️
Day 1 back in the shop: COMPLETE. I am definitely a bit sore, but it looks like I am hanging in there better than the rest of my crew who are all out cold 🤣
Plans for tomorrow: come up with a solid, realistic game plan to get everyone caught back up. I will be reaching out to anyone that has not heard from me personally yet in the next couple days!
Larry and I decided at the last minute to still go away for a couple days (something we had planned for our anniversary over a month ago), even after the horrible week we had....In case you didn't hear, someone at a local drive thru stole my business debit card information and literally left me with $14. I had just taken out a personal loan to replace some desperately needed shop tools, help with xmas, and to prepare the shop to work alone in after the 1st of the year. They took every dime of it. I am working with the police and they are hoping to make an arrest very soon; with any luck, the bank will refund me the money sooner rather than later.
Anyway, the point of this post....I have really been thinking about closing the shop and going back to the corporate/office world. I thought this was finally the straw that broke the camels back as I'm not sure how I'm going to come back from this hit yet and I have less than 3 weeks to figure that all out.
Then, as we are going through the airport security, they pull us to be sniffed by a drug/bomb sniffing dog. I was mesmerized. Dogs are absolutely amazing creatures. Whether they are police dogs, service animals, or just chubby little sh*tzus that bring a smile to your face when you walk in the door, I realize how much my purpose on this earth truly is to work with them and help them in any possible way I can. I am going to trust that the universe will help me figure the rest out ❤️
Happy 4th to all my furry and human friends! Stay safe!!
💥🇺🇲 Stay safe!!
Bella's forever family ❣️
This makes it all worth it. Not every story has a happy ending when you are in rescue and after a while, that makes you want to stop caring. Over time, this work can rip your heart out.
Dogs are a commitment. Rescue dogs are an even bigger one.....they were already let down by a human so if you adopt a rescue, it better be for life or else you are doing more harm to that poor animal that has already been let down/abandoned once. Dogs are a privilege, not a right.... and they are not disposable.
Every dog that I can help, I know it means the world to and that is why I will keep doing what I do ❤
Bella is in her forever home and is loving her new family and huge yard ❤
Some of you may have met Ann Chovi, my special needs fish. Unfortunately, she passed away today. Please excuse my 'french'.....I was responding to Larry's lack of compassion...lol. In all seriousness, I did enjoy her and am glad I had the opportunity to give her the best life I could ❤️. Until we meet again sweet Ann Chovi!
Fun times at the grooming salon
I'm dying cause it's true....I give your dog 300 treats at the grooming salon 🤣
Happy New Year to all of you! I know I am not alone when I say good riddance to 2021! Last year was one of the hardest years of my life and I wanted to take a moment to make everyone aware of a few changes and to thank you all for your support, understanding, and frankly, for sticking it out with me.
Beginning mid January, I will no longer be working Wednesdays. In the last year, I had some clients move away and a few dogs cross the rainbow bridge. Instead of taking new clients in their place, it has freed me up to cut back my hours. I will also be enforcing many of my policies that I have allowed to slide by in the past. Going forward, a cancellation/late/no show fee equal to 1/2 the scheduled service will need to be pre-paid before a new appointment will be booked. I will also be enforcing the post grooming pickup policy going forward. Upon completion of your pets groom, unless otherwise discussed, pets are expected to be picked up within 20 minutes after being notified they are done. Pets not picked up in a timely manner will be charged an additional fee.
I understand that these changes may not work for everyone, and that is ok! I have absolutely no hard feelings if you need to find a new groomer that suits your schedule better. Also, I am not taking on any new customers at this time and my wait list is also full for the time being.
Lindsie, as always, will continue to groom with me…...she has no choice….lol. Without her, I would not have made it through this past year. You are also going to start seeing a new face in the shop as I am bringing on someone to help me keep up with messages, calls, emails, scheduling, etc. Her name is Lisa and I know you guys are going to love her…..she will also be apprenticing under me to learn how to work with harder to handle dogs.
I am ready for a new year, a new start! One thing that has never changed is how much I love all of your furkids, and I really do mean that. I love what I do. I never get tired of
Guess what Suzie got for Christmas? That's right....her very own blinged out Mercedes Benz! Did you expect anything less?!
Lindsie and I were just having a little fun this afternoon......lol
